Friday Favorites: Last One for October

Happy Friday! I, for one, am thrilled it's the last Friday of the month. Bring on November! Here are some favorites this week:

-ONE-
This hooded anorak jacket from, you guessed it, Walmart ($21.96)! Y'all, Walmart's just been on the ball lately and I love the complete knock-off from this Nordstrom jacket ($119). I paired it with a knotted-front long-sleeved white top from Target that I bought last year (similar here), my Old Navy jeans, Sam Edelman leopard flats and Laura Cox Designs earrings.

-TWO-
Pumpkin painting! We painted pumpkins Sunday night using these washable paints and it was so much fun to do with the boys. We did it outside on the back patio and it was ridiculously easy clean up with the washable paint, doing it outside on a beach towel and using paper plates for the paints. The paint washes right off of hands (and off the towel and concrete)!

-THREE-
Alright, so I've been a little underwhelmed with the Duchess of Sussex's wardrobe on their Australian tour. The lack of color (so much navy, black and white!) BUT! I absolutely adored the Safiyaa blue dress she wore to the state banquet in Fiji earlier this week. Such a beautiful color on her and Meghan, if you're listening: please continue to wear color! You look radiant in it!

And speaking of blue, I wasn't a fan at all of the Duchess of Cambridge's blue Alexander McQueen gown she wore to the state banquet. It was a little too 80's prom for me. BUT, I did love that she was wearing the Queen Mary Lover's Knot Tiara and the Family Order from Queen Elizabeth.

-FOUR-
I've had a lot of people ask me lately what mascara I'm wearing, so I wanted to share here, too: it's the L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Primer and Mascara. I also put this eyelash growth serum on my eyelash line before bed every night and I can really tell a difference in lash growth (and bonus that it's not $100 -- it's from Amazon and $19.96!).

-FIVE-
I shared with y'all last week about starting Smile Brilliant, and I have to say that I love my results! This is just from one week, but I can tell a huge difference. It's so easy and I, most of the time, put it on and wear the trays (which I can't even feel since they're not hard and more of a flexible material) while I'm showering. I even wore them for an hour or so when I was power washing the driveway last weekend, ha!

I definitely recommend Smile Brilliant!

And if you want to try it, too, Smile Brilliant is offering y'all a 15% off coupon code: brittanywhitacre15.

  3. Love that fall jacket! I keep reading about how much Walmart has amped up their clothing but have yet to actually get there to check any of it out.

  4. I use the same lash serum! Its the only one I've found that doesn't have weird ingredients in it that I'm scared of! Your Smile Brilliant results look great - its time I try that after indulging in so much coffee and red wine since the last time I had my teeth whitened.
