Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends!

First of all, the Duchess of Cambridge has magical unicorn powers -- and an amazing glam squad -- to look this gorgeous a mere hours after giving birth. I looked like a swollen, exhausted beast for weeks after giving birth and didn't touch makeup for months...and you better believe I wasn't squishing my swollen, fat feet in a pair of heels!

And, I give her major props for standing outside the hospital for the world's media with her fresh little baby -- and you know girlfriend is rocking those mesh panties under that Jenny Packham dress. I know it comes with her territory, but it also kind of makes me sad that she's forced to do this hours after having had a baby. I like to think she's cringing inside and thinking, "Just get me home, William!" and dreaming of sweatpants and nursing bras like the rest of us did at that stage. ;)

After doing lots of research, I started taking two organic activated charcoal capsules each day, and I really feel like I've noticed a difference in bloating and toxin removal {especially after a glass of wine at night}. Without going into too much detail, I struggle with bloating and this is one of the products that actually helps and I can tell an immediate difference within a few hours. It's honestly a pretty weird concept, but it works!

Seriously, Old Navy for the win. I got this top in on Wednesday and I love it! {You might remember that I mentioned ordering this dress in last week's post, and I love it, too.} And yes, I'm still totally loving the off-the-shoulder trend!

Our master bathroom is slowly but surely coming together. It has been exactly a month today since they demo'd it and I'm so, so ready to just be able to use my own bathroom. I know it's all a total #FirstWorldProblem and a self-inflicted one, at that, but it's just hard to feel settled when your house is under construction and there are workers in and out of your house all day {and when there's a fine layer of construction dust all over everything}. I can't wait to share with y'all the finished product! They've promised they'll be finished by EOD today, but I'm not holding my breath.

Did you catch my Mother's Day Gift Guide I shared Wednesday? A big highlight are the bouquets of flowers you can send via Amazon Prime! I mean, what can Amazon not do?!

I hope y'all have wonderful weekends!

  3. I'm going to have to look into those capsules. I can't imagine putting on heels hours after having a baby. No thank you.

  4. Now I need that top.and the capsules sound amazing.Have a wonderful weekend lady.

  5. Yay I hope the bathroom wraps up today. Loving that tile!

  6. Ugh Kate is just so amazing - I love her! I just want to know how that dress didn't show the mesh lines! lol

  7. One of my favorite things I've ever heard is that you can order flowers through Amazon. Total game changer. And I'm definitely checking out that activated charcoal--thanks for mentioning!

  8. I had no idea that those charcoal capsules could do that.

  9. I had no idea Amazon shipped flowers too; you're right-- what can they not do?

  10. Gah Kate is perfection! I hope she has been resting in sweats all week after that debut which had to be painful!!

  11. So glad that the bathroom is almost finished! I know you can't wait for a nice long soak in the tub. I am going to check out those charcoal capsules. I use a charcoal powder for natural teeth whitening and a charcoal bar to wash my face and prevent hormonal acne and both work amazing. Who would've known that charcoal was so magical?

  12. LOVE the floor in the bathroom friend! I'm heading to Old Navy now - that top is presh!
