+ We met a friend and her two little girls at a local indoor trampoline place. The kids all had a ball and my boys ended up taking good, long naps -- so it definitely jumped their energy out!
+ We had our traditional Friday night pizza, I fell asleep watching "Dateline" (as per usual) and we called it an early night.
+ We got up early and hit the road for Waco to celebrate my twin nieces' second birthday party -- but not before we met my parents quickly to pick up Walker's birthday present since they were in town for a cheerleading competition for my little sister. Anyway, Brandon's brother and his wife moved from the DFW area to Waco this summer and since Brandon and I went to Baylor (and met there), it's such a special place for us to go back to -- and even more special now that we have family there!
Our sister-in-law's brother and his wife have two boys whose birthdays are also in early January, so the birthday party was a four-kid-celebration party for a one-year-old, twin two-year-olds and a three-year-old. So needless to say, these were the best pictures I could get. ;)
After the party was over, we laid our boys down there to nap and all sat on the patio under the most beautiful Texas blue skies and visited until the kids woke up, and then went and had supper with Brandon's two brothers, their wives and all of our kids at George's, and then drove home around 7 p.m. (our kids' normal bedtime) and didn't get home until 8:45 p.m. It was a fun day, but whew, we were all super exhausted on Saturday night and Sunday!
+ We had the most low-key day at home: reading lots of books, playing with toys, naps, laundry, cleaning and Brandon baked tea cakes (which are most definitely not Whole 30 approved...). It was such a slow day and I was super thankful for that slowness to start the week.
I hope y'all have great weeks!
