What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: My {Current} Favorite Makeup Products

A sweet reader asked if I would do a post on my favorite make-up products last week. Well, Holly, your wish is my command! :)

I have done some previous posts about my favorite products, but here are my current favorites. I do tend to rotate in the lipstick and mascara areas, but the rest of these products are pretty tried-and-true and ones I have used for a good while:

The Estée Edit Pore Vanishing Stick

I actually received this in an Influenster VoxBox and was so impressed with it that I purchased another one. It does a good job covering my pores in my T-Zone and also takes away any shine {and works as a great primer} before I apply my makeup.

+ NARS "Orgasm" Blush

The cult favorite with a wicked little name, I have used this blush for years. It is the perfect color -- in all seasons -- and works really well with my fair skin tone. Not too pink, not too orange, and just enough shimmer to make you look alive.

+ NAKED Basics Palette by Urban Decay

Believe it or not, I'm not a huge eyeshadow girl. I have to be careful with my blue eyes to not add to much or my eyes don't pop. I love this palette and have tried to go to the Naked 2 or Naked palettes, but I keep coming back to the Basics one.

+ Clinique Stay Matte Sheer Pressed Powder in "Stay Buff"

Not kidding, I have used this pressed powder since I started wearing makeup in the 6th grade! It's the perfect finishing powder when you're ready to set your makeup and also to combat any shine during the day. I have combination skin and am a little oily in my T-Zone, and this stuff really helps cover that up if I've had a long day in my makeup.

+ L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer in "Fair":

Call it #momlife to the extreme, but the dark circles under my eyes aren't going away any time soon. So, I use this concealer under my eyes -- and on any blemishes or discolored spots on my face -- before I apply my powder foundation. It covers well without being too thick.

+ NYX "Thalia" Lipstick

I saw this on someone's Instagram, and I'm obsessed with this lipstick. I have super fair skin with pink undertones, so I have to be careful with lipstick colors being too pink, too brown or too nude. This is such a creamy lipstick in a perfect shade for my fair, pale skin. And you can't beat the fact that it's less than $10!

+ Bare Minerals Matte Powder Foundation in "Fair"

After many years of using a liquid foundation, I finally switched to the dark side of Bare Minerals. I have combination skin, and no matter the brand {the most expensive to the cheapest}, my skin would get extra oily and I'd break out with any liquid foundation. Plus, it never stayed put all day for me! Enter this stuff: it's light, you don't look like you're wearing foundation -- but the coverage is amazing -- and not once have I broken out because of it. I'll use this forever!

+ Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in "Black Brown"

Another product I've used for the longest time -- high school or college, I think?! -- this is the only eyeliner I've found that doesn't budge during the day. I don't do well with liquid eyeliners and I always forget to sharpen the pencil eyeliners and then they hurt my eyelids -- ouch! Love this stuff!

+ Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer in "Ultra Light"

A blogger cult favorite, this concealer works wonders when I'm up all night with a baby {or two}. I will say, it's very thick and does have a distinct smell -- almost like Play Dough -- but man, it works. And, a little goes a long way, which I learned the hard way! Ha!

+ L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara in "Blackest Black"

I have used expensive mascaras and keep coming back to this one. To compare it to an expensive brand, it works, to me, just as well as Diorshow, but at 3/4 the price. I have long eyelashes but need volume in them, and this adds length and volume without being clumpy.

+ Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in "Dark Brown":

I don't know what I did without this stuff! I have naturally thin, sparse eyebrows that need to be filled in and "finished" each day. I love this brow powder duo because it fills in my brows without looking drawn on, and it lasts forever -- and I use it almost daily!

Do y'all use any of these products?

  5. I always used NARS blush and recently tried Bare Minerals for the winter because they had a lighter pink. During the summer I'll be going back to my NARS, it really is the best! I don't wear eyeshadow much either but when I do it's from the Naked palette!
