Happy Friday, y'all!

Regardless of what side you fall on on the political spectrum, you cannot deny how absolutely gorgeous and flawless Ivanka Trump is. I am not trying to turn this into a political post because I try to keep this space a politics-free zone, but I just loved Ivanka's recent outfits and had to share.

I loved this green dress and coat she wore during the inauguration festivities:

And I also adored the Carolina Herrera gown she wore to the inauguration balls:

Did y'all catch my Valentine's Day book recommendations for littles? There are only 2.5 weeks until V-Day and these books make perfect little gifts for "heart day," as Walker says. I ordered him the Curious George book {he's currently obsessed with George} and Knox "I Love You More."

We finally "upgraded" to the IKEA Antilop highchair {no fabric -- all the praise hands!} and I'm kicking myself for not having this when Walker was a baby. It's so easy to clean and so lightweight. I would recommend this to any mom. And bonus: it's currently only $14.99!!!

I had some of you comment on my blog and InstaStory asking for the meatloaf recipe after I posted it. Y'all are going to laugh at how easy it is! My grandparents' longtime cook made this and it's the only meatloaf recipe anyone in my family will eat. It's delicious!

Here's the recipe:

(For the meatloaf)
+ 1.5 lbs. ground beef
+ 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
+ 2 eggs
+ 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
+ 1 cup plain breadcrumbs

(For the sauce)
+ 3 TBPS brown sugar
+ 1/4 cup ketchup
+ 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
+ 1 tsp. dry mustard

Mix the ingredients (under "for the meatloaf") together well in a large bowl. Shape into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 375* for 45 minutes. While it's cooking, mix the ingredients (under "for the sauce") together in a small bowl. When the 45 minutes are up, put the sauce over the meat loaf and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

This sweet boy had a wonderful day at "school" yesterday, which consisted of "Donuts with Dad," followed by his early 3rd birthday celebration and capped off with stomping through the halls of school like a dinosaur -- donning a dinosaur "hat," of course! -- after learning about them this week.

We have a big weekend celebrating his birthday and I'm so excited to celebrate HIM!

Linking up with April, Amanda, Andrea, Amy and Katie

  1. Ivanka is gorgeous! I posted a video on my fb yesterday of her son crawling for the first time at the White House and she couldn't have been cuter. I have such a girl crush. Those valentines books are all so cute. I've got to find my stack and pull them out. I love a good meatloaf recipe. Def will try this. Have a great weekend friend!!

  2. Ivanka is flawless. I will say watching the Trump women dress over the next 4 years is going to be fun. And can I say Lipton onion soup mix makes everything better!!!! It makes some of the best recipes! Checking out the high chair today-thank you again for sharing. And oh my gosh have a great weekend with Walker-I cannot believe he is turning 3!!!

  3. Loved Ivanka's Inauguration looks so so much, and Melania's blue Ralph Lauren was amazing! Glad to hear you are liking that high chair- that's the one we got for Betsy. And I think Betsy definitely needs a book or two from your list for Valentine's Day!! Have a great weekend of celebrating your 3 year old!

  4. Yes that high chair! We waited until our oldest was around a year before we got it and we immediately got rid of the other that we had! It is now on our third kiddo :)

  5. Ivanka did look stunning--she knows her fashion for sure! Love that you finally got a high chair that you like without fabric (I've been steering away from those based on your warnings and hatred of the fabric haha). Happy birthday to Walker!

  6. I agree that she looked stunning!
That high chair looks like a perfect choice for my parent's house. I will check it out!

  7. Umm ya I'm a fan of her fashion as well!! Look how happy walker is to have breakfast with his dad - that is so sweet! Have a fun filled weekend girl! xo, biana -BlovedBoston

  8. I love her fashion, too! & I can't wait to see more of her cute kid crawling around the White House - babies in the White House are the kinds of political things that I can get behind :) Hope you have a great weekend celebrating your son's 3rd birthday!

  9. He is so adorable in his shades!

  10. Ivanka is flawless!! I just want her to write a book all about her life now so I can learn more! I feel like the next 4 years of having her around are going to be great! Yay for birthday celebrations!! Hope you all have the best weekend celebrating.

  11. I can totally agree with your thoughts on their style! I love their sense of fashion. That powder blue outfit that Melania wore plus her hairstyle - fabulous!!

  12. I agree, she's very pretty and I'm loving her style too. Your little guy is so cute! Mine turned three in October. Have the best weekend celebrating! Beautifully Candid

  13. Oh my gosh how adorable is your son!? So cute!

    Happy Friday!
