Friday!

Happy Friday!

-ONE-
I cannot let this day pass without thanking our veterans for their sacrifice and service to our nation. My great-grandfather served in WWII and was wounded on Veterans Day in France in 1944. He's 97 years old and is still with us. So thank you, Paw Paw, for your service, and thanks to all the men and women out there who have so dutifully served, too.

I don't know if it's because of Daylight Saving Time or what, but I've had a really rough time sleeping lately. I hate taking a sleep aid unless it's a weekend and I know Brandon will let me sleep in a bit, so I've been trying some natural "remedies" the past week, and I think they're helping! I've told y'all about the Magnesium oil spray, and I've been using that on the bottoms of my feet...but I also bought this bottle of pure lavender oil and have been putting a few drops on our pillows at night. I also have been doing it to Walker's pillow, too, and I think that's been helping to calm him at night. We take sleep seriously in this house! ;)

-THREE-
I'm still loving "The Crown!" Are any of y'all watching? It's been my nap time binge this week.

-FOUR-
Our church's Preschool Director asked our Mom's Facebook Group recently to share their favorite Christmas traditions, including those that help kids focus on the true meaning of the season. I got some really cute, thoughtful and neat ideas from there...so I thought I'd ask y'all to share some of yours!

Speaking of Christmas, we have two parties to attend for Brandon's company this year {whew}, and did I mention they're in the same week!? That said, I can't wear the same dress. So I was looking at this one from Nordstrom for the second party, and think I'm going to purchase it. I want to look cute, but also conservative around his bosses and co-workers. Plus, I can re-wear this often. {And I love the neck detail!}

  5. I love that picture of you and your paw paw! So sweet! We went to a Veterans Day parade in TN and I about cried 5+ times lol That's awesome the lavender oil is helping so much! I'm dying to watch the Crown but I have no time! Maybe I'll finally watch it after Christmas ;) That dress is beautiful! I have no clue what I'm going to wear to all our Christmas parties since none of my winter dresses fit
