Weekending: First One for October

Happy Monday, lovelies! We had a fun-filled weekend, so let's get to recapping, shall we?

-FRIDAY we...

+ Welcomed Brandon home with open arms after a five-day-long business trip! All the praise hand emojis for him being home. {And seriously, I have so much respect for you single mamas. I truly don't know how you do it, and y'all are rockstars. Period.}

+ Made a yummy batch of chocolate chip pumpkin bread, using my Nana's recipe. It's always so delicious, and it's easy, to boot!

+ I snuck out for a much-needed mani/pedi...and some time by myself, let's be honest. A glass of white wine while someone rubbed my feet was the perfect ending to a long week.

+ Had these delicious potatoes {and steaks and broccoli and a glass of vino} while catching up on DVR'd shows after the boys went to bed.

+ Were up and at 'em before 7 a.m. because, let's be honest, we have two kids and what the heck is sleeping in anymore?!

+ Decided to get the boys dressed in their best Baylor gear, and of course had to snap a picture of the cuteness that is little boys in matching polos. ;)

+ Watched the horribly ugly Baylor game, where we won by a field goal versus an unranked team. A win is a win, yes, but holy cow, that was an ugly one.

+ I enjoyed an evening away with some moms from our church for a special "Mommy Evening Out" at my Aunt Katherine's store! She served us dinner and dessert, and then we partook in a fun class on the art of hosting. It was such a fabulous night out with great food, great company and great conversation!

-SUNDAY we...

+ Went to church, which completely wore this little nugget out:

+ I made a solo trip to Target during the boys' naptime, which of course is basically a vacation going into a store alone! Ha! I lingered in the aisles and came home $60 poorer {when I only went in for a birthday card and some construction paper...}, but I couldn't resist all the cute fall décor.

+ Watched the Cowboys game, and I got really tickled at this picture, of which I caption: "When your Dad talks about Fantasy Football...again." Ha! {#butseriously}

+ Enjoyed cuddles on the couch with this sweet pumpkin. I could just eat him up!

+ Made my Autumn Chopped Salad for supper, and called it an early night.

I hope y'all had great weekends! I can't wait to read about them!

Linking up with Biana

  1. Walker, I totally feel you on the fantasy sports thing! ;) Yay for sweet babies, pedicures (man, I need to do that!!), and Brandon being home! We've had Nathan home for almost a solid month but he is gone basically all of October/November and I am not ready to give him up!!

  2. Looks like a great weekend. And a HUGE yes to the fantasy football talk lol. My husband ordered RedZone yesterday since he wasn't going out to watch the games with his friends. So I'd say #footballoverload lol

  3. So happy that you were able to get some mani / pedi time in!! I mean Baylor might not have done well, but your littles are too cute in their outfits!! Happy Monday girl! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
