Well, here we are: 39 weeks pregnant and no baby! I'm thinking he's going to be stubborn like his brother and will have to be evicted from his comfy, warm place. Le sigh.

Anyway, let's get to the weekend, shall we?

It was an absolutely gorgeous day (which is great because we're forecasted rain for the next six days…also le sigh) -- so we took full advantage of the beautiful weather and were outside as much as possible.

Walker's favorite thing about Friday is that our garbage and recycling trucks come to pick up said garbage and recycling. He literally waits with baited breath to see them, and then begs me to let him run outside to watch them from the sidewalk while they pick it all up. It's precious!

Later Friday morning, we met up with our friends Stacy (and her littles Silas and Marlee); Ashley (and her daughter Caroline); and Kelly (and her littles Annabelle and Dean) at our local splash pad.

Afterward, Walker and I made a quick Target run (where a 20-something on her cell phone stole my parking spot of which I was waiting for with my blinker on…grr!) and then picked up lunch at Chick-fil-A. Walker took a two-hour nap and I was able to lay down for an hour (heavenly).

When Brandon got home, I made my great-grandmother's chicken salad recipe, and we had that, along with this yummy salad and watermelon for supper.

Brandon mowed our backyard, and Walker immediately ran to grab his lawnmower to "help" mow, too. ;)

After Walker went to bed, Brandon and I started watching "Blue Bloods," and y'all -- I don't know what we were waiting for! It's such a good show and we are officially addicted!

I took Walker to my friend Stacy's monthly "Yeah! Mama" event: a book reading and signing with local author Heather Patterson, who wrote a cute book called, "Passing the Bone." I somehow managed to get zero pictures, but it was a cute little event!

When we got home, we just picked up around the house and watched more episodes of "Blue Bloods" while Walker napped; it was a super low-key day and I loved every minute of it!

That evening, I sent the boys to the grocery store to buy some Greek yogurt so I could make these little "treats" for Walker before this baby makes his appearance. Well, they came home with the Greek yogurt…and this little toy after a pit stop at Toys 'R' Us. I think it's safe to say that someone is quite wrapped around their Daddy's finger (and just a bit spoiled, too)!

While they put the toy together and played (and played, and played) with it, I made a pork tenderloin, these delicious potatoes and some steamed veggies for supper. (And let me tell y'all: I'll be making those potatoes again and again!)

We caught up on a few more episodes of "Blue Bloods" before calling it a night.

Walker has been struggling with a spring cold (the worst) and he managed to pass it along to me, and it hit me big time overnight. I'm so stuffy, my throat feels like I swallowed nails and I can't really taste much of anything. Quite the joy, especially when I'm due next week.

Needless to say, I parked myself of the couch all day and managed to stay there (after a quick run to Sam's to stock up on fruit for the week) for quite a while. I'm hoping to kick this cold soon so I'm not sick when the newest little man decides to make his appearance, which I'm hoping is super soon.

Linking up with Biana today for "Weekending"
