Friday!

Happy Friday the 13th, y'all! Apparently it's also a full moon tonight…so does that mean that the baby might make an appearance?! #pleasesayyes

-ONE-
In the countdown to Baby #2, I had dates with both of my favorite guys this week: lunch with Brandon on Wednesday, and then ice cream with Walker after Mother's Day Out on the same day! I know it may seem silly, but I want to spend separate, special one-on-one time with them before the newest little guy gets here, because I know that time will be few and far between for a bit once he arrives.

-TWO-
We have officially booked my 30th birthday trip for next year: a long weekend in Charleston! Brandon has only been for work, and I've never been (and am dying to go), so to say I'm on pins and needles would be an understatement. I know it's a while away, but if y'all have any must-see places and/or must-eat restaurants, please let me know! I've been scouring Southern Living magazine's Charleston travel guides like it's my job. ;)

-THREE-
Why, oh why does Old Navy suck me in every. single. time?! I've recently been obsessed with their linen tie-waist shorts (perfect for hot Southern summers and for wearing whislt chasing a crazy toddler) and went online to buy more colors (the gooseberry red is so cute and what came home with me!), but of course had to pick up this romper (my first ever -- crazy, right?!); this top; and some pajamas for the little man since they were having 30% off your purchase yesterday. Whoops!

And while I won't be caught dead in a two-piece this summer (and didn't buy it for that reason), how cute is this scalloped swimsuit?!

-FOUR-
I'm trying to decide if I need to start using a round brush to dry my hair. Since my hair is so fine and thin, I blow dry my hair upside down with a ventilated paddle brush, and then flip my head over to finish drying using the same said brush (and alternate with the Wet Brush, where needed), and then use my flat iron, followed by some teasing at the crown. But I'm wondering if I need to make the step up to start using a round brush when I blow dry…and I'm completely in the dark about that. I looked at this article and it helped somewhat, but if any of y'all have any tips, please let me know!

A friend recommended this brush; do any of y'all use it?

-FIVE-
And because it's Friday, a cute little funny to end with:

I hope y'all have wonderful weekends! I'll just be over here sipping some Red Raspberry Leaf Tea, taking Evening Primrose Oil and reading up on every wive's tale to make this baby make his grand appearance!

  3. I keep hear this baby is coming tonight with the full moon! Like, don't get my hopes up people!! Good luck to you, but just know I might not have warm feelings towards you if you have your baby before me ;) I'm so excited for you that you get to go to Charleston next summer. I'm dying to go to so I can't wait to see what you guys do. I want to start buying clothes but I just have no idea what size to expect to be this summer. Love love love those linen shorts from Old Navy, though!! Have a great weekend girl!

  4. Charleston is our favorite place ever!!! you MUSTTTTTTT go to Hall's Chophouse for dinner. Best meal of my life hands down. Need to make reservations months in advance though. Somewhat pricey but 100% worth it, not kidding. Magnolias for lunch is a must, the best southern food! Message me closer to the date for more restaurants and fun things to do!

  6. Yay for a trip to Charleston!! We're hoping to visit there this fall if I have enough vacation days left! And I actually have a round brush, but it's super heavy and makes my arm tired trying to use it. lol. BUT it does great things. An old roommate who was from the south taught me how to use it to give myself a blowout. It gives your hair a natural bend.

  7. It could be a Freaky Friday... lol! Omg you're going to LOVE Charleston!!! It's my favorite city ever and I can't wait to go back! I'd definitely say go to Hominy and maybe Butcher and Bee :) I have a round brush, but it's too big and I'm so bad at it so it doesn't make much of a difference but I'd love to hear how it goes for you!! Enjoy your weekend and I hope baby comes soon!!
