Friday!

It's Friday! {#allthepraisehandemojis} Brandon has been gone all week on his last business trip before the baby arrives, and to say I've been stressed out and worried that this little man would come while he was gone is quite the understatement! But alas, here we are and yay for no husband travel for a while!

Moving on to my Friday Five:

-ONE-
Mother's Day is going to be quite different this year since I won't be traveling to my hometown to spend time with my mama, but I know Brandon and Walker will make my day special! I have plans to go get a pedicure with my new sister-in-law, and who knows what my boys have up their sleeves. ;)

Just for grins, here is a picture of last Mother's Day of me and the sweet boy who made me a mommy:

I also know that Mother's Day is really hard for a lot of people: those who have lost their moms; those who have lost their babies; those who have every desire to be a mom; and the list goes on and on. And I know that seeing the collages of photos on social media of people with their moms and mamas with their babies is heartbreaking...and clicking "like" is the very last thing you want to do. I truly do pray for each of you and your special situation during this time of the year. I pray that your hearts are guarded and that love abounds in whatever situation you're in.

-TWO-
Influenster was awesome to send me two samples of the latest Viktor&Rolf perfumes to try: FLOWERBOMB fragrance and Precious Oil. I'm typically pretty skeptical to try out a new perfume; sometimes if it's too strong I'll get a headache (especially when I'm pregnant and super sensitive to smells)...but this one is amazing! Even Brandon loves it. I'll definitely be purchasing this perfume in the full size again and again!

-THREE-
My friend Ashley and I were talking on Monday night about some recent books we've read (which is quite comical since we don't have that much time to read with toddlers in tow!), but we both agreed that ones we keep coming back to are Emily Giffin's "Something Borrowed," "Something Blue" and "Babyproof." Friends, if you've never read these, they're great for summer reading by the pool! They're short, easy reads and are those books where you truly miss the characters once the books are finished! (And I promise the books are better than the movie, if you've seen that!)

-FOUR-
I couldn't get over the adorable first birthday photos that Kensington Palace recently released of Princess Charlotte! She's so adorable! I love that Duchess Catherine takes so many of these photos on her own, and of course I just adore the way she dresses Charlotte. (Fun fact: Charlotte was going to be this sweet baby's name if he was a girl!)

-FIVE-
One of my favorite things to do when Walker is napping (if it's beautiful weather out) is to sit on our back patio and "work," whether it's blogging, making my grocery list, writing thank-you notes, paying bills, making phone calls, planning our calendar, etc.

Since we've had beautiful spring-like weather here recently (meaning we can actually sit outside without sweating and mosquitoes feasting on us), I've been indulging in a lot more of that quiet time lately. Sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in the things I "have" to do (e.g. fold laundry, mop my floors, etc.), and I forget to take some time for myself. (And yes, sometimes I do nap, like I mentioned last week!) I really do feel like an hour outside each day helps lift my mood and gives me the energy I need to finish out my day strong. Do any of y'all do this, too?

I hope y'all have great weekends, and Happy Mother's Day!

All the ones you mentioned are definitely the best place to start, they are my top 3 faves for sure. I can't wait for her new one this summer!
