What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: Life Lately

Hey, y'all! Per usual, I'm linking up with Jenn and Jessi for "What's Hap-'pinning' Wednesday," and I'm just sharing a bit of our life lately!

+ We ran a ton of errands on Monday, including to Target, where Walker was more amused with the guy in the crane repainting the sign than anything else! Seriously, he could have stood there all day and watched just that. #boys

+ Meanwhile, I {somehow} managed to come out of Target spending less than $20 (it's a miracle), but I did have my eye on these cute tumblers! Target does it again, y'all.

+ Walker and I refueled at his favorite restaurant, Chick-fil-A. I love our little lunch dates!

+ The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous, so we met up with my friend Ashley and her daughter Caroline at our local park to let the kiddos get some energy out post-naps!

+ Tuesday, I visited a local fire station to have them ensure the baby's infant car seat was installed properly, and had them check Walker's convertible car seat while we were there. Turns out, both needed to be tightened, and they were beyond helpful in showing me how to properly install and re-install them. You can never be too careful! I'm so thankful for this free service!

While we were there, Walker got a ton of attention from the firemen; he got to see some trucks, get on their golf cart; and pick out a ton of toys from their little toy box. Needless to say, he was in heaven!

+ Today, Walker is at Mother's Day Out and I'm getting a much-needed manicure/pedicure for Brandon's brother's wedding this weekend. I'm not in it, but nothing makes a huge 8-months-pregnant girl (who has to wear an evening gown to said shindig) feel pretty and pampered like a good mani/pedi. :)

+ Speaking of wedding, I finally made a decision about the dress I'm wearing. It's a Rent the Runway dress, and I ordered two of the same dress in two- and three sizes up and am praying it fits. I read practically all of the reviews, and saw that a couple of girls wore it when they were pregnant and it worked perfectly due to the jersey fabric. So say a prayer for me that one of the sizes fits, because it's supposed to be on my doorstep by Thursday and the wedding is Saturday. (And if it's not here or doesn't fit, I'm SOL. Yikes!)

+ Tomorrow is my 29th birthday, and I have a fun little post coming tomorrow for y'all. I have a doctor's appointment to check in on baby boy #2 tomorrow morning, and then am planning to stop by Old Navy to use some of their Super Cash that's burning a hole in my wallet. (Err…inbox.) And I'm hoping my little boss takes it easy on me tomorrow. ;) (Maybe I can squeeze in a nap while he's napping, too.) #momlife

That's really all that's going on with us lately. We're pretty boring this week; just running 5,001 errands and checking things off of my always-growing to-do list!

I can't wait to read what's hap-'pinning' with y'all!

  2. Nathan doesn't know it yet, but we are going to get our car seats checked over this weekend, too! I'm sure he will think it's dumb but I have an older car and I'm just not convinced it is in there properly. That Rent the Runway dress is FAB! Fingers double crossed it works out for you!!
