My friend Stacy and I met at PlayStreet Museum to let Walker and her son Silas play, and we spent two hours there, which is always so much fun for the kiddos. (And the mamas to catch up!)
Brandon was able to sneak home a little early on Friday afternoon, and we took Walker over to my in-law's for the evening. He barely waved goodbye to us and we were out the door to Mi Día, one of our favorite Mexican restaurants!
We started with their always-delicious tableside guacamole, which truthfully is a meal in and of itself! (And it has bacon in it, y'all. Bacon. Delish.)
We were smart this time and shared an entrée: the special of the day, seafood enchiladas (one sea bass enchilada, one salmon enchilada and one scallop enchilada) with sides of rice and beans. It was amazing and I wish it was always on their menu!
They brought us out some yummy sopapillas for my birthday, and they definitely didn't disappoint!
Then, Brandon gifted me with an early birthday present: an anniversary band! I was so shocked and of course bawled my eyes out. (It's the band on the top in the photo below.) I love it and can't get over the thoughtful, beautiful gift.
Walker spent the night at my in-law's, so we came home and watched "Carol" (horrible and wouldn't recommend) and then both took a Unisom and hit the hay. #partyanimals
-SATURDAY-We slept in until almost 9 a.m. (!!!) and that was heavenly. I haven't slept in until 9 a.m. in years. (Seriously.) I decided I didn't want to get dressed and wait in line for brunch, so Brandon made coffee and breakfast and we enjoyed a quiet little breakfast without a little one asking us for "more bite?" Ha!
We made a pit stop at Old Navy, where we both scored some cute steals! Then, we picked up Walker from my in-law's and it was so good to see him! Our nephew was there, too, and the boys had been playing together all morning. Needless to say, Walker came home and took an awesome nap while Brandon and I got some stuff done around the house.
I made this for supper, and then we took Walker to our local high school's track and let him run some energy out before bath and bedtime.
We went to church, and then were complete lazy bums all day. It was an awesome, restful Sunday!
I hope y'all had great weekends! I can't wait to read about them!
