I'm still in complete denial that we're having a baby next month. When I was pregnant with Walker, everything was totally finished at this point in my pregnancy and it was just a waiting game: his room was complete; the swing and bouncer were set up in the living room; the baby announcement address list was typed and saved in an organized Excel document on my desktop; and I had a maternity wardrobe that I just loved.
But this go-round? Not quite. (#poorsecondchild) As absolutely over-the-moon excited as we are to welcome this precious baby boy next month, I'm falling far behind on a few things. One of those, if you have been reading this blog for a bit (namely my sporadic pregnancy updates -- read 'em here, here, here and here if you're interested!), has been my "maternity wardrobe."
Like I said, when I was pregnant with Walker, I was working full-time and had a maternity wardrobe full of cute, comfy clothes that showed off that big ol' bump. But this go-round? I'm staying at home with Walker and am lucky to get out of (maternity) yoga pants and a T-shirt most days.
So to say I was excited when PinkBlush gave me the opportunity to review one of their beautiful clothing items is an understatement! Nothing makes a 35-weeks-pregnant girl feel more beautiful than a new dress. With Walker, I was this pregnant in the winter (he was born January 29), so none of my maternity dresses I wore with him were suitable for the warm Texas spring that we're currently having -- and will continue to have until sweet baby boy #2's May 25 due date. So, I popped over to PinkBlush Maternity to take a gander at their spring dresses, and let me tell you, it was hard choosing just one!
After a ton of time perusing their site, I finally settled on the Pink-White-Black Colorblock Maxi Dress, which came in the mail on Saturday and I just love. Not only is it absolutely adorable, it's comfortable and versatile. And as many of you veteran moms know, having a comfortable dress that you can run around with the kiddos in is a definite plus. Another pro is that it's long (hence the "maxi" in the name) and I can feel totally confident playing on the floor with Walker, kneeling down to pick him up and do a myriad of other things that moms with toddlers do and feel confident knowing I'm all covered up and am not giving anyone a nice peek-a-boo show!
What I also love about this dress is that it will be great for this summer when my post-baby body is still a little all over the place. (Because as y'all know, it takes a little bit for that postpartum body to go back to how it was nearly a year before!) Truly, you can barely tell that this is a maternity dress, which I just adore. Nothing is worse than maternity clothes that are clearly maternity clothes -- no pregnant gal wants to wear a muumuu dress if she doesn't have to!
But of course, PinkBlush isn't just for maternity clothes! They have an adorable array of clothing for women that I'm already eyeing for post-baby. And if you're a first-time shopper, PinkBlush offers 15% off of your first order when you subscribe to their emails (click here to do so)!
Not only did PinkBlush sweetly send me my adorable maxi dress to review (and wear and love), they're also graciously offering one of you readers a $75 gift card to shop there! All you have to do is enter the Rafflecopter giveaway below, and I'll announce the winner on Friday! Good luck! :)
