How far along: 31 weeks and 1 day
Gender: It's a boy!
Total weight gain: 20-ish pounds (not sure because I haven't been to the doctor in two weeks)
Maternity clothes: Yep! I'm pretty much living in my beloved Old Navy maternity yoga pants these days, and even though I can still wear some of my softer, longer T-shirts with them, they're starting to get shorter by the day. I pretty much wear the same three dresses to church on Sundays, too.
Miss anything? To be completely shallow and honest, I'm missing wearing all of my cute spring clothes now that it finally feels like spring outside. My maternity clothes are all dark and from my first pregnancy with Walker, and I just feel blah each day. I also miss sleeping on my side (he gets so worked up when I sleep anywhere but on my back); a cold turkey sandwich; sleeping on my stomach; and a good glass of wine.
Cravings: Not really. I have been wanting something sweet after dinner each night, which isn't great for my weight gain, but ice cream typically satisfies that craving! I've really reached the point where I'm completely ravenous, but if I eat too much, my stomach hurts from being so full.
Movement: Yes! He moves all. the. time. Walker really only moved at night when I finally laid down to sleep, but this little guy is a wiggle worm. Like I said above, he really hates for me to sleep laying anywhere but on my back, so that's been quite interesting.
Symptoms: Seriously, just fatigue. I have gotten to the point where I have to rest when Walker takes his afternoon nap or I just can't make it through the day. I also have had some minor Braxton-Hicks contractions, and I am feeling a lot more pressure than I did with Walker. He just seems to be sitting so, so much lower. I'm finally starting to feel pregnant, if that makes any sense.
Belly button in or out? It's basically flat and weird. I'll spare y'all the details!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Sleep: It's really been so-so throughout this entire pregnancy. I'm typically a stomach/side sleeper, so getting used to sleeping on my back has been a challenge. Plus, I'm getting up to go to the bathroom a lot more than I did with Walker (around 3-4 times a night), and I'm getting to the point where I'm just plain hot when I sleep if the fan isn't on high and I have any covers on other than the sheet.
Best moment of the week? Having Brandon home with us on Monday for a much-needed family day!
Exercise: Can I skip this question? I know I should be really diligent about this, but I'm just…not. After chasing a toddler around all day, the last thing I want to do is work out when he goes to bed. I know I'll pay for this once he's born, but until then, pass me all the Blue Bell.
Anything making you queasy or sick? No.
Labor signs: Just some Braxton-Hicks contractions, but no real labor signs.
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy, but #hormones have me like: WHOA. If something is upsetting or sad, I'll cry at the drop of a hat.
Looking forward to: My doctor's appointment on Friday. Brandon has a half day of work for Good Friday, so he's staying home with Walker and I'm going by myself. Sadly, this is a real treat since I typically have my little sidekick along. (You know you're a Mom when going to the OB alone is a treat!) I'm also looking forward to all of the Easter festivities this weekend and having Brandon home for his half day.
