Happy Friday, y'all! We have had a full week of rain here in North Texas and I'm so beyond ready to see some sunshine! The meteorologists are forecasting some for Sunday (how appropriate!), so you can bet we'll be outside soaking that in later this weekend. But for now, let's get to it!
I had been a complete obsessor of Herbal Essences "Naked" Dry Shampoo…until I tried Living Proof's "Perfect hair Day (PhD)" Dry Shampoo. I'm officially a convert! It smells amazing -- better than any dry shampoo I've ever tried -- and it apparently cleans your hair. (The verdict is still out on that one for me, and Brandon, who thinks it's ridiculously weird I go three days in between shampoos.) But, I love it and I don't know if I'll ever go back to another! It's worth every penny.
Did any of y'all watch "Downton Abbey?" I'm so beyond sad it's over, but so happy for Lady Edith and yes, even Lady Mary after the series finale on Sunday. (Although I have no idea what we'll watch on Sunday nights now!)
I was pregnant with Walker when Matthew was killed in the show, and now I'm pregnant again during the finale…holy moly, pregnancy hormones had me bawling during both of those episodes!
This is a total Mom moment, but I'm obsessed with this nasal aspirator. Walker has had a gross cough and runny/stuffy nose this week, and it has literally saved our sanity since he hasn't quite mastered blowing his nose yet. He has hated the NoseFrida since the first day we ever used it, but didn't seem to mind this one, and for that I'm thankful. You know you're a Mom when…
It gets so ridiculously hot here in the summer, so one of my favorite "throw on and go" outfits are chino shorts and a soft, loose T-shirt. Well, Old Navy has done it again with their short-sleeve linen-blend boyfriend tees! I'm pretty sure I went a little crazy online on Monday buying these in every color.
Since Liz is on Spring Break this week, we were so excited to hang out with her and her girls a bit! Walker and Liz's youngest daughter, Peyton, just adore each other. (Liz and I used to work together, and Peyton and Walker were born just two days apart at the same hospital, by the same doctor, and went to the same daycare together until I started staying at home.) Anyway, they kept saying, "Walker!" and "Pety!" to each other and doling out sweet kisses and hugs. They just adore each other, and I'm so glad I got to spend some time with my sweet friend!
And speaking of Liz, she sent me Walker's two-year portraits yesterday and I'm absolutely OBSESSED with them! How am I ever supposed to choose which ones to print and hang in my house?!
I hope y'all have wonderful weekends!
