Weekending

Happy Monday! I hope y'all had the best weekends! Ours was super low key, which is exactly the way I like the weekends. (Especially since our next weekend is going to be jam-packed. I'm tired already just thinking about it!) So let's get to it, shall we?

-FRIDAY-
Walker and I had a super lazy morning at home, which we haven't had in forever. We just sat in his room and played with his toys and didn't leave to start running our errands until almost 10 a.m. It was a nice way to kick off our weekend!

After our errands, we had a little Mommy/Walker lunch date at McAlister's, then came home for his nap and cleaning for me.

I made this for supper, and Brandon and I watched three episodes of "Narcos" before calling it a night.

-SATURDAY-
We did absolutely nothing all Saturday morning, and that was glorious. I love lazy Saturday mornings with nothing on the agenda!

Saturday afternoon, I attended a kitchen shower for my brother-in-law's fiancée. It was a cute little shower and it definitely made me want to upgrade everything in my kitchen after five years of marriage! ;)

Brandon brought home Pei Wei for supper, and I fell asleep on the couch watching the Republican Debate. We are clearly super big party animals!

-SUNDAY-
We went to church, and I actually helped out in the one-year-old nursery class during the service and Brandon went to "big church" by himself. After church, we got ready for our little Super Bowl get-together with our friends Ashley, Steven and their daughter Caroline. Brandon actually smoked ribs all afternoon and they were, as Walker says, "dee-yish-iss!"

It was also a super low-key get-together…we're talking paper plates, plastic cutlery and yoga pants for the moms. I love when it's easy like that!

I can't wait to read about your weekends!

  1. Low key weekends are so nice - especially when you know you have busy ones coming up! A kitchen shower is a great idea. I have never heard of that before, but it sounds really cute!
