Happy Monday, y'all! I hope you had good weekends, wherever you are. Here's how we spent ours:
My friend Ashley and I took her daughter Caroline and Walker to a local park to play, and no lie, I was sweating it was so warm out! Who would have thought we'd have 80* temperatures in February?! (Although I'm definitely not complaining. I hate the cold!) We then took the kiddos for an early Chick-fil-A lunch.
Brandon got home from his work trip right as Walker was waking up from his nap, so we went to another local park to enjoy our gorgeous weather and to let Walker spend some time with his Daddy. I love these two and their love.
I made, for the first time, my grandmother's homemade blueberry-banana pie (with a homemade crust, to boot!), along with one of her recipes that's one of Brandon's favorite comfort food meals. We enjoyed both of those, and then binge-watched some DVR'd shows from the week before calling it an early night.
We had a really lazy day, which was so nice! I did little things around the house I'd been meaning to do for a while, including lining my makeup drawer with a fun wrapping paper to give it a little "pop" and look cleaner. I like the way it turned out!
We got out and early voted in the Texas Primary, and I was thrilled to see long lines at our local library for people to vote! As I love to say, if you don't exercise your right to vote, you don't get to complain!
We then ran a few errands, including to Men's Wearhouse to get Brandon fitted for his tux for his brother's wedding. While he was getting measured, Walker enjoyed the mirror and "counting the Walkers." ;)
When we got home, Brandon "and Walker" did some yard work while I cleaned the house. I made this for supper, and we did another night of DVR bingeing before calling it another early night. (We are party animals, y'all!)
I didn't sleep well at all (thanks, little baby in my belly!) and Brandon was feeling icky, so we laid low all day Sunday. Brandon finished some things on his ever-growing honey-do list, including putting together the Rock 'N' Play; cleaning out the return-air vents; and installing new smoke detectors. You think his wife is nesting, much? ;)
Other that that, we were super lazy and enjoyed spending a rainy day inside, as evidenced by:
I made this for supper, we watched "Downton Abbey" and got everything ready for a new (busy) week.
Walker has his second-ever dentist appointment tomorrow, he starts swimming lessons tomorrow night, I have my glucose appointment Wednesday and Brandon has a big work event on Thursday. To say we're going to be excited for the weekend is an understatement! Have a great week, y'all!
