Valentine's Day Weekend + Giveaway Winner

Did everyone have a good Valentine's Day? Even though we were go-go-go for the long holiday weekend, we still had such a fun time celebrating!

My sweet friend Stacy and I took her son Silas and Walker to a local trampoline park, which we had almost to ourselves! The boys had so much fun jumping on the trampolines and going in and out of the foam pit, and Stacy and I enjoyed catching up with each other.

Walker and I did a little playing in the backyard that afternoon, including wearing his sandbox buckets as hats. Because, why not?

That night, we celebrated Valentine's Day early since we left to go to my parents' for the weekend. We let Walker make little heart-shaped pizzas, which was just a precious sight to see! He loved having his own special little meal and "painting" the sauce on his dough.

Typically Brandon and I only exchange cards, but this year he "and Walker" outdid themselves; they gifted me with an hour-long prenatal massage and accompanied it with the sweetest note in the card that made me cry. {And of course I felt awful that I didn't get Brandon a thing!}

We drove down to Houston to celebrate the first birthday of my best friend, Lindsey's, little boy, Austin. It was at Little Gym, which was perfect for Walker after being in the car for four hours that day! He was able to run around and get some major pent-up energy out, and we were so happy that we got to celebrate with precious Austin!

…and Walker was equally as thrilled about his apple juice and cupcake. Ha! ;)

We drove to my parents' that evening and had a yummy Valentine's dinner with my whole family, including my grandparents: petite filet mignons with BĂ©arnaise sauce, baked potatoes, Greek salad and chocolate-covered strawberries.

Walker and my Dad were having an intense conversation after dinner! ;) He loves his Papa.

On actual Valentine's Day, we went to church with my parents, and then my entire family {we're talking aunt, cousins, brothers, their girlfriends…14 of us!} all went out to lunch at my favorite local Mexican food place. Then, we came home and hit the hay; naps were definitely the perfect treat to top off our day!

I am so thankful for Brandon and Walker always, but it was fun to keep telling them, "Happy Valentine's Day" and use any excuse to give them a kiss!

Since it was a holiday, we decided to come home Monday. And of course I'm super confused that today is Tuesday and I kept wondering yesterday when we got home why the 4 p.m. news was on "on Sunday." I kept having to remind myself that it was, in fact, Monday!!!

Anyway, Walker did great in the car for the four-hour drive back, which is always a blessing and a huge stress relief:

We stopped for a quick lunch and then hit the road again, getting home in the late afternoon. We filled our afternoon and evening with unpacking, laundry and PB&J's for dinner. #backtoreality

And: I'm happy to announce that the winner of the SwaddleDesigns giveaway I posted about on Friday is Nikki Snapp!
