Friday!

Happy Friday, y'all! Is anyone else as excited as me that it's officially the weekend? Other than a wedding shower for my brother-in-law's fiancée, we have no weekend plans and I'm thrilled about that!

-ONE-
Thanks to Emily, I was able to find a replacement for my beloved Gap jersey-knit maternity dress that I had when I was pregnant with Walker (and wore approximately 607 times) at Target! Even though the black was sold out in in small at a few of my local stores, I got the gray and know I'll definitely be able to dress it up for an upcoming wedding rehearsal dinner and even church. Now I just need Target to get it in stock in black in a small! I wasn't able to find the solid black or gray online, but this is a similar style -- and I promise you, it looks way cuter in person than online!

-TWO-
Some of you seasoned mamas may have already known this, but my sweet friend Liz gave me a tip the other day: Super Target gives kids a free cookie while their mamas (and/or daddies) shop! Walker truly enjoyed munching on his chocolate chip cookie while I bought a few maternity items on Tuesday.

Liz was also the one who taught me that you can trade in the kids toy at Chick-fil-A for a kiddie-sized Ice Dream cup or cone! What would I do without her?!

-THREE-
There has been so much good TV on lately! Our DVR is full of "The Bachelor," "The People v. O.J. Simpson," "Fixer Upper," "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," and of course, my nerdy "Dateline" episodes!

And speaking of "The Bachelor," Monday's episode gave me far too many laughs and cringes, and I'm going to need someone to make these into a meme…and stat! Olivia is a nut!

-FOUR-
Y'all know my love for "Fixer Upper" and I've told y'all countless times that I would move back to Waco in a heartbeat if Chip and Joanna could do a house for me. (Actually, I'd move back to Waco in a heartbeat period!) ANYWAY! I'm obsessed with the "German smear" tactic Chip did on the outside of the house last week and I told Brandon I'm dying to do that to our "forever home" that we plan on moving into in the next three or four years. I just LOVE it!

-FIVE-
So I'm going to be 29 in two months. My last year in my 20's! And you want to know what I'm giving myself for my birthday? New carpet. You know you're old when…

We only have carpet in our three bedrooms; the rest of the house is wood and tile…so we don't need that much at all, which is part of the reason we're doing it, to be honest.

But seriously, I didn't realize how many freaking options there were out there for carpet. Holy moly, y'all. We've narrowed it down to three options {that seriously all look the same} and I felt like Miranda Priestly choosing between the two blue belts. Ha!

Oh! And before I go: don't forget to take a peek at my Valentine's Day gift ideas for little ones! Can you believe that fun little holiday is next week?! Have a great weekend, y'all!

  1. I laughed about the new carpet...totally know you're old when. Ours was asking for new storm doors for Christmas. Nothing but fun over here! haha Love the dress you found, and all of the tv shows you watch are basically on my DVR too! :) People vs OJ we watched yesterday and it is pretty well done. I just can't get over David Schwimmer as Rob Kardashian--it looks like a joke haha

  2. I seriously love Fixer Upper! I always get so many home decor inspirations when I watch the show. My husband will actually watch it with me from time to time too, so I would say that's a win! :)

  11. Thanks for the shout out! I wore my grey dress to work yesterday and got tons of compliments and "oh look at that bump!" comments :) The Bachelor girls are on a whole other level this season - so much cray. I agonize over making big (and small really) design decisions, I would truly be tortured by picking out new carpet. So I feel for ya! Good luck!!
