What's Hap-pinning Wednesday

We made it to mid-week! *Insert all the praise hand emjois here…for real!* We've had a pretty low-key week. Here's a peek into what we've been up to and what's been "hap-pinning" with us:

~Wandering into Target {with the rest of our city} on Sunday night. My little blue-eyed buddy actually asks to go to Target now. Is that a sign we go too much?!

~Waking up each morning and coloring by the light of the Christmas tree and the beautiful morning light streaming through our house. I seriously love this sweet age Walker's in right now. {Granted, the #TerribleTwos are alive and well, but this age is just so precious.}

~Visiting Founders' Plaza with our sweet friends Silas and Caroline {and their mamas Stacy and Ashley} to have a picnic lunch and watch the airplanes take off and land. These three are all two and three months apart and it's so fun getting them together to play!

~Running all the errands {no, but seriously} while kiddos are still in school and everything is a bit quieter this week than next. I've been to the resale shop to sell some clothes; the grocery store; the car wash; Ulta; Target {again}; the tailor and the dry cleaners. And it's only Wednesday. Whew!

~Playing with Walker's "train choo choo" over and over and over again. ;) Seriously, this is the best toy ever! He plays with it long enough for me to get fully ready, so I consider that a win. {We even bought one for my nephew for Christmas we love it so much 'round these parts.}

~Enjoying long walks outside in our non-December weather. I decided to bust out the big stroller and go on longer walks because I know we're going to get hit with frigid cold {to us Texans, anyway} temperatures in January and February and walks will become few and far between until March.

~Hitting up our local library for a smoothie date with Walker. I hope to always take him on "dates" to teach him how a lady should be treated: opening the car door for her, opening the door{s} for her, being polite and loving, etc. I think that's so important!

~Stopping in our local library to do a little reading -slash- running all over the place getting weird looks from students trying to study for finals.

~And taking part in our library's little LEGO class. Clearly Walker loves LEGOs, so this was right up his alley. ;)

~The little man is at his last Mother's Day Out of this semester {seriously, that went by way too fast} and I'm relishing in a few hours alone to get a pedicure. It's the little things, right?!

Linking up with Jessi and Jenn

  1. What a fun week! My kids also ask to go to Target-haha & that little lego duplo train is the best. Both of my boys play with it regularly.

  2. Looks like you guys have been up to a lot of fun stuff! We've taken my nieces to see the planes take off by us and they loved it too. And who doesnt love Target? I think you're just instilling good values haha

  5. Hahaha, oh gosh. When I first started reading your post I scrolled through to get a quick look at the pictures. I was like. "What the heck?! Why are these children at a prison fence?!" But than I read the post and realized my ignorance. Doof.

  6. Looks like you and little man are enjoying the holidays and your time off now as a SAHM!! That is awesome that he asks to go to Target!! I'm starting to work on Logan now in hopes that I will achieve that someday. haha
