Happy Friday, y'all! I don't know about you, but this week flew by for me. I think I'm in total denial that Christmas is in two weeks from TODAY, so I'm trying to do all the things slash trying not to totally freak out to to prepare for it. Whew! Let's get started on this Friday post, shall we?

My friend Ashley and I took her daughter Caroline and Walker to see Santa yesterday at the Dallas Galleria. That Santa truly is one of the best around! We got there about 10 a.m., right as the line started forming, so we thankfully only had to wait about 30 minutes. When  Santa came out, Walker freaked out he was so excited! He ran straight over to him to give him a high-five and wanted to show him the Santa on his shirt. Ha!

Then, it was our turn to see the Big Guy! Walker absolutely loved him and asked for a "PB&J" -- as in, the sandwich -- from Santa. The child is obsessed with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and seriously would eat them at every meal if I would let him! Brandon and I think it's hilarious that he asked Santa for one! I'm thinking we'll have to make one early Christmas morning and set it out on a plate next to his toys. ;)

Afterward, Ashley and I let the kids play in the Galleria play place and then took them to Corner Bakery for lunch overlooking the big tree and the ice skating rink. Love that this looks like their little day-date. Haha!

I keep saying I'm done buying for Walker for Christmas, and then I go on Amazon and buy him one more thing. Ugh! I keep justifying it saying it's because he had pneumonia on his first Christmas last year and I'm trying to overcompensate. Buuuuut, maybe I'm just obsessed with Christmas. Ha! Here's some things I had to pick up last minute {Brandon please don't be reading this right now!}:

Are any of y'all watching "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" this season? I'm feeling so bad for Yolanda and Kyle, y'all! And Lisa's husband Ken talking bad about Yolanda and being so snarky this season!? I think this may be my favorite franchise of the Real Housewives.

I found this recipe on Pinterest and am dying to make it! Have any of y'all tried it?

Our last gift was wrapped yesterday; teachers have been gifted with presents; and we've visited Santa. I think we've officially checked off our Christmas "to-do" list, and I'm excited to spend the next two weeks {hopefully} relishing in what this season is all about. Nothing gets me more emotional this time of year than hearing the line in the song, "Joy to the World": "Repeat the sounding joy, repeating the sounding joy, repeat, repeat the sounding joy." That is Christmas to me: repeating the sounding joy of Jesus' birth. I'm hoping and praying we can spent some time these next two weeks just slowing down a little bit and reflecting on that true miracle.

Walker's teachers at Mother's Day Out gave Brandon and me this sweet picture of Walker for Christmas, and it brought tears to my eyes, too {but what doesn't these days?!}:

And even though that's a baby doll in a pretend manger, it stirs my heart to see my little one with his childlike faith learning, as Charlie Brown said, what Christmas is really about.

Have a wonderful Friday and a fantastic weekend!
