What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: Walker's Big-Boy Room

When we found out I was pregnant, we knew we had to use the nursery again in just eight short months. We weren't about to spring for another crib, and since Walker was toying with climbing out of his crib, we knew it was time for a big-boy room.

We moved Walker to the room next door to his, which was previously the guest room. We sold the furniture we had in there on Craigslist, did a little cleaning, had the closet built out and got to work.

My original plan was to have two twin beds in this space, but the way the {tiny} room is laid out just wouldn't allow for it. In addition, we don't live in a very big house, so this room doubles as Walker's play room. All of that to say, we have a pretty cramped little room, but it's precious nonetheless!

We moved Walker last week because we wanted him to have plenty of time to adjust before the baby got here. The last thing I wanted was to be up in the middle of the night with a baby and a toddler, so we got Walker super pumped about his room while we were in the process of fixing it up for him. We'd say, "Wow! Look at this big-boy room! It's all yours!" and "This big-boy bed is just like Mommy and Daddy's. You're such a big boy now!" "This big-boy room is so cool! It's way cooler than the old room!" Things like that to get him excited about his new space and not care about his old room one bit.

So, with all of that said, here's a peek into Walker's big-boy room, minus an accent pillow for his bed that I've had to literally pull teeth getting it delivered from a seller on Etsy {yikes}:
