Friday!

Happy {Black} Friday, y'all! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We definitely did; we enjoyed time in Louisiana with my Mom's side of the family. As always, I ate way too much, but that's what leggings are for, right? {But seriously.}

-ONE-
I put our Christmas cards in the mail today! Since it's officially after Thanksgiving, let the wild rumpus start. ;)

This year, I used Brown Paper Studios on Etsy for a custom card, and I was so pleased with Sarah's work! I have used her in the past for our very first Christmas card, as well as a baby shower invitation, but never a custom card. Sarah worked with me until the design was exactly as I wanted it, and she was so professional and courteous. Not only that, she was fast! I finalized my order last Monday and I had the cards on my doorstep by Wednesday afternoon. Talk about service!

I had Sarah print the cards for us, as well as print our return address labels on the envelopes for me. Because, you know, toddler and pregnant? Ha!

All ready to be mailed!

And yes, I'm not wearing my wedding ring. It was too early in the morning when I took this picture! Ha!

Walker is now sleeping in his "big tid bed," as he says! I'm not going to lie, the first day he started taking naps in there was rough. After multiple attempts at me going in there to soothe him, lay down with him, pat him and sing to him, he just was not having it. So, I diverted back to my old Baby Wise days and just let him cry it out. After nearly an hour, he finally fell asleep like this:

Poor sweet baby. But he did it! He napped! And we're officially in the "big tid bed." Granted, he's been waking up at 6 a.m. getting out of his bed and trying to get out of his room {ugh}. Anyone have any tips to help him stay in bed? We put one of these on his interior door handle, which helps keep him in his room, but what about his actual bed? I was thinking about getting one of these; anyone have experience with it?

-THREE-
Confession time: I'm not doing much to change the nursery if this baby is a girl. If it's a boy, it will stay exactly the same. I purchased the bedding from the gender-neutral section of Carousel Designs two years ago, so if it's a girl, I'll add in some creams and a few pink accents, but I'm not going to break the bank. #poorsecondchild

I know it sounds awful, but I just can't justify completely redoing a nursery…especially when I know I'll be breaking the bank on dresses, bows and girly clothes if this baby is a girl!

Here's Walker's nursery before he was born and before a few final touches were added to the shelf above his bed. Look how clean and organized it was!

-FOUR-
Just a funny Walkerism I don't want to forget:

The other day, I sneezed. Walker looked at me for a second, and then said, "Uh-oh! Mommy nose cough!"

He didn't know the word "sneeze," so he used what words he did know to tell me, in his own little words, that I sneezed. I love how their minds work!

-FIVE-
I confess: I gave up on "Blood and Oil." It was a little too cheesy for my liking. But I'm still loving "Quantico!" Are any of y'all still watching either?

  2. Omg that Someecard. So perfect, haha. And I personally think leggings are the answer to every problem, so I'm with you there! :) I just got my Christmas cards this week so now I need to get them out; jealous that you're already done! Your cards look amazing! Have a great weekend!
