Weekending

Happy Monday, y'all! Linking up with Biana and Meghan today for "Weekending."

We were pretty lazy this weekend, which was quite nice, to be completely honest! Octobers are always jam-packed for us {hence my lack of posting on Friday, sorry!!!} and we take any down time we can get.

Brandon had been out of town all last week for work, and came home early on Thursday so we could take his Australian counterparts {who were in town for a training} to dinner at Eddie V's on Thursday night. It was probably one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time! We didn't get home until late Thursday night.

Friday morning was spent at a Halloween party at my friend Kym's house. It was so precious and she thought of every single detail! We went to eat as a family at Chipotle on Friday night, then came home and watched a few episodes of "Friday Night Lights" after Walker went to bed.

Saturday was my niece Ellie Kate's second birthday party, and then we came home to watch college football and get things done around the house for the afternoon. My sister-in-law is due in December with twin girls; not only does she look amazing {I think I looked like she does at about 7 months pregnant with Walker!}, she pulled off a precious cowgirl-themed birthday party at their house…and she just had a major kitchen renovation finished last week. Whew!

We were also so excited that my brother, Parker {far left, with the beard} was chosen by Baylor President Ken Starr to run out with him before the Baylor Line at Saturday's game. What an honor!

Walker came down with some major congestion on Saturday afternoon and I had a raging migraine, so we stayed home from church. Brandon was on Walker duty and I think I slept the entire afternoon. I hate spending weekends like that, but sometimes you just have to in order to recover.

I hope y'all had wonderful weekends! I can't wait to read all about them!

  7. Glad you're feeling better! I swear Walker looks so grown up in these photos! FNL is still such a favorite for me, I think I may go back and rewatch it all during the cold January season!
