Friday!

Happy Friday!

-ONE-
Today, Brandon and I are celebrating our five-year anniversary! I honestly can't believe it's been five years; that went by so fast! Brandon, I love you more today than the day I married you and can't believe all the memories we've made in five years. Here's to 55 more! I love you!

Since we went to Jamaica for an early anniversary this summer, we're keeping it pretty low-key this weekend. {You can read all about our Jamaica trip here and our wedding here!}

-TWO-
I made this Pasta Fagioli recipe last night, and it was basically a homemade minestrone soup…but really good! It made a ton; I was actually worried all the ingredients wouldn't fit in my Crock Pot. They did, but I did decide to make the noodles right before serving and put them in the bowls first, then top with the soup.

It's perfect for fall and even better to freeze for later use since it makes so much!

-THREE-
Walker and I made a quick trip to Home Goods yesterday afternoon to get out of the house {since our yard people decided to mow and trim the hedges outside of our bedrooms at nap time = mad mommy}. ANYWAY, I found my new favorite candle: M. of W. G. {Makers of Wax Goods} Harrison Juniper Black Myrrh. It smells amazing, and has a wood wick, which is extra neat to me. Oh, and it was only $9.99!

-FOUR-
Speaking of our time in Home Goods, we rounded a corner and Walker spotted a medieval knight with full armor statue. He pointed at it and said loudly, "DADDY!" It was so hilarious. Apparently he thinks his Daddy is a knight in shining armor. Ha! ;)

-FIVE-
My friend Ashley and I took Walker and her daughter Caroline to the pumpkin patch yesterday morning. Other than the fact that it was upwards of 80* at 10 a.m., it was still cute and the kids had a great time running around, playing in the pumpkins, going on a hayride and being silly.

Even though Texas needs to get it together in the fall weather department, I still love this time of year and all the fun traditions that go along with it.

My hubby and I just celebrated our 8 year anniversary this summer, I can't believe how fast time flies! Have a great weekend! Alexis @ www.chemistrycachet.com

  7. I get very 'mad mommy' when people interrupt nap time too! We are in the process of home renovations and I try to tell the guys to save quiet tasks for nap time, but it doesn't always fly with them. And that is too cute that Walker thought the knight was Daddy!

  8. Cracking up at the fact Walker called the knight Daddy!! That is so cute! That soup looks yummy - I'm ready for some new soup recipes over here. It's been gloomy and chilly over here. Loved the pumpkin patch pictures too. Hope you guys have a great weekend!
