Friday!

Happy, Happy Friday! This has been a week, so I'm thankful the weekend is finally here!

Before I get started, I just wanted to wish a "Happy Birthday" to my beautiful mom! We love you, Foxy!

-ONE-
It's still feeling like early summer here in Texas, with temperatures into the high 80s and low 90s each day. I know I've mentioned this over…and over…and over again, but y'all: I AM SO READY FOR FALL. I even put out some mums and my monogrammed pumpkin this week in hopes it would help the temperatures fall. {No pun intended. Or maybe?}

So to all of you wearing cute scarves, jackets and going to the pumpkin patch, I am jealous of you!

-TWO-
After going up in the attic to get said fall décor, I found a couple of toys Walker seemed to be "over" a few months ago, but that I kept on hand for future kiddos. He has a newfound relationship with this cheapie shape sorter and his V-Tech sit-to-stand walker. I've decided I'm not buying anymore toys; I'm just going to put some away for a while and bring them back out again! {But some of his other recent favorites are this helicopter and this train, which, by the way, hurts like you-know-what when you step on it barefoot.}

-THREE-
Old Navy has really been killing it with their sales lately! I bought Walker a ton of stuff with their recent 40% off sale, and also with their recent 50% off kids and baby sale. Of course, as what happens when you become a parent, you buy more for your children than for yourself {or at least I do!} and I forget to buy stuff for me! So, I'm going to go back to good ol' Old Navy next week while Walker is at Mother's Day Out and pick myself up a few goodies. I've got my eye on these:

And of course…

-FOUR-
The majority of my fall TV shows came back this week! "Modern Family" cracked me up; did any of y'all watch it? I'm anxiously awaiting "Blood & Oil" on Sunday! Chace Crawford? Yes, please!

-FIVE-
Brandon has been out of town on business since Sunday {yes, he missed that epic Cowboys game!} and we are so happy he's coming home today. Walker kept saying all week: "Daddy work?" It broke my heart every time!

We have big plans to do nothing this weekend; our last one of these for a while because every. single. weekend in October is jam-packed, as our Octobers tend to be. We're looking forward to watching lots of football, eating lots of yummy food and spending some good family time together before the madness of the next month!

  1. I wrote about Old Navy today too--I hit up their sale but I didn't see that pretty cowl neck dress!
    I'm so pumped that Fall tv is back! So many good shows I dunno how I'm going to have time to watch them all! I'm intrigued by Blood and Oil tho. I think I'll be checking that one out.
    Hope you have a great weekend!

  6. I want to get some plaid things this season! It's getting chilly here in Pennsylvania and I'd gladly trade this weather for summer like temps! I miss summer already!

  7. We fond her sit to stand walker in storage this weekend too, and she's been absolutely obsessed with it again! I think you are right about hiding toys for awhile and then bringing them back out later! Also, I am excited to watch Blood & Oil too!!
