Friday!

Happy Friday!

-ONE-
I'm so excited for the long Labor Day weekend! Brandon has a half-day today and then of course is off on Monday, so Walker and I are super excited to have him home with us for 3.5 full days! We don't really have any plans set in stone, but I'm thrilled to {hopefully} have another lazy weekend. And perhaps try this White Wine Mojito recipe!

-TWO-
Something I can't get enough of these days are Piko shirts. They are so comfortable and are perfect for fall: they can be worn with leggings, jeans or even just around the house in yoga pants. My favorite ones are from The Rage. {I mean, I love that store anyway, but I just love their Pikos.} These shirts are supposed to be tight on your arms and loose everywhere else. Not gonna lie, y'all, sometimes I think I could actually sleep in these!

-THREE-
Baylor football starts today! The Bears take on the SMU Mustangs tonight in Dallas, and I'm so excited! I feel like fall is officially here when college football comes back.

I'm trying so hard to wait until the first day of autumn {Sept. 23} to have Brandon get all of my fall stuff out of the attic…but we'll see how long that lasts! ;)

-FOUR-
We've been busy little bees this week, even though we had two restful, easy days on Monday and Tuesday. We played at a local play place, had Gymboree class, met Brandon for lunch, looked at animals at PetsMart, signed Walker up for a one-day-a-week Mother's Day Out class, and met a friend for Toddler Time and the library and a Chick-fil-A lunch. Whew! Sometimes I think Walker's social calendar is busier than mine! ;)

-FIVE-
We are looking at getting this table and chair set for Walker for either Christmas or his birthday {since they're a little over a month apart}. Do any of y'all have experience with this table or one similar? I'd love to get an IKEA one, but I'm not keen on the 5,001 parts they typically come with.

Basically, I just need a place for him to do his little crafts, eat if he wants to and just play. So, I need it to be sturdy, have the ability to be wiped down well and good quality.

-SIX-
Brandon and I are thrilled that we can finally share that his brother, Jeff, and his wife, Becca, are expecting twin girls in January! They will be adding to their little family of three {our niece, Ellie Kate} and we couldn't be more excited to meet our newest nieces! Becca's doctors said the girls will very likely be here in December, so could you please say a little prayer for all of them? Our family is so thrilled! We have known since July, so keeping that secret was pretty darn difficult! Ha!

Have a lovely long weekend!

  1. I have been wanting to get a table & chair set for our boys, but I'm so picky. I want to get the "perfect" one, which is so silly. I want it to be simple and look nice...no bright colors or anything, so we can put it anywhere. That one looks really nice!

  2. I’m so happy this weekend is finally here – I wish we were being lazy this weekend too (already dreaming of our “nothing” weekend next weekend). I love the style of those shirts and am SO excited that football is back!

  3. Congratulations on bringing twins into the family, how exciting!
I love that little table, ikea products are a pain, but I will say the dresser we have from there was worth the extra work to assemble, we LOVE it. and little men need their own place to do things, for sure. I am betting Walker would love it!

  4. That white wine mojito looks yummy. Let us know if it's as good as it looks! That kid table and chair set is cute too. I don't think it would be too hard to put together. I avoid anything that has drawers from Ikea, but that doesn't look too bad! Hope you guys have a great weekend! xo

  6. That white wine mojito looks so good. Congrats on the twins. I am probably bias (since I'm a twin) but twin girls are the best. So much fun! Have a great weekend.
