Thoughts for Thursday: Walker's Big-Boy Room Inspiration

Happy Thursday! I'm linking up with Annie and Natalie to talk Walker's big-boy room dreaming today.

Walker is, by no means, ready for a big-boy room; nor am I ready for him to move out of his sweet little boy room and into a big-kid room. I worked hard on that little room and I want him to stay in it forever! {Kidding. Sort of.}

Here's what I've been pinning lately as inspiration for his future big-boy room:

Since our sweet Walker loves being outdoors and loves airplanes, I'll definitely want to incorporate these things into his new room one day. We know we won't be in our current house forever, but I want this future room to grow with Walker.

I think I've definitely settled on two twin beds as opposed to one double bed since he has a smaller room and it will give one of us an extra place to sleep if we ever need to without disturbing Walker. And since the room is small, I'm definitely thinking about leaving out bedside tables and instead doing built-in lamps above the bed to save some space. I'm really loving the buffalo check duvets in the final photo, as well.

Do any of y'all have inspiration boards for future kids rooms?!

  2. I was about ready to cry about how soon you were talking about a big boy room! Because that means we aren't too far behind you and that is just too fast! lol. I love the airplanes though and the buffalo check! I like that it's big boy without being too grown up. :)
