Vox Box Review: I Do Voxbox

When I got back from vacation, I noticed this pretty pink Influenster Vox Box sitting on my counter, thanks in part to my friend Kimmie checking our mail for us daily while we were gone!

Inside the cute little box were many different items: Skinnygirl Tasty Nutrition Bar in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, URGENTRx Ache & Pain Relief To-Go in Lemon-Lime, Sahale Snacks Grab & Go Cashews, Indeed Labs nanoblur skin finisher, Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation in Classic Ivory, Covergirl Outlast Lipstick #925, and Neutrogena Hand Cream. I was super excited to try them all out!

I had never tried Bethenny's Skinnygirl line of food, though I had seen her hocking it all over RHONY all season, so I was excited to try it! I really enjoyed the taste of this protein bar. It was sweeter than I expected and truly didn't taste like the typical cardboard-like protein bars I've tried before. I was actually pretty impressed!

I had a pounding headache Monday night after my first day back in the office in 10 days! {Yuck and yuck!} I decided to try the UrgentRx (lemon-lime flavor) and I was pleasantly surprised at the results! It was very, very quick, and I didn't have to use "traditional" pain relievers...and wait around for almost an hour for them to kick in.

I'm not a huge fan of nuts {insert Junior High "That's what she said" comment here, go ahead!}, so I gave the Sahale Snacks Grab & Go (Cashews with Pomegranate and Vanilla) to Brandon to try. He said they were very tasty, and from the looks of their other products, it seems they have many other quick and easy, healthy snack options that are great for moms on the go!

I've been pretty dedicated to my Bare Minerals Matte foundation the past month, so I was hesitant to try another, different product on my skin. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation went on, and the fact that it didn't leave my skin greasy or oily. Plus, it did a great job of evening out my skin and covering up blemishes/dark spots. I wasn't a huge fan of the smell, but once I got past that, I was good!

Like with my foundation, I've been dedicated to the same Clinique lipstick since high school...same shade and all. I know, boring! But I tried Covergirl's Outlast Lipstick #925 and actually liked its staying power! I am not daring in the least when it comes to wearing red lipstick, but this was a fun one to try out. Like with the foundation, I wasn't a fan of the scent.

I had tried a bit of the Neutrogena Hand Cream before, when I was out of the little sample from Kiehl's I had been carrying in my purse and asked our secretary for some lotion. As you all know, I have an 18-month-old and work in the public school system, so you know, GERMS. I'm constantly washing my hands, and the cheap soap at work does nothing but dry my hands out constantly. So, I was pleasantly surprised to see this in my Vox Box! I love the way it smells and just a little bit goes a long way. It really does seal the moisture in without being greasy.

Indeed Labs' Nanoblur Instant Skin Perfecting Cream is the best! I tried it out last night after I washed my face and it is perfect for those days where you don't want to wear make-up, but still want to look decent. I don't know about you, but I love to use my Clarisonic Mia and have that squeaky clean feeling on my face in the morning {and at night}. But with that squeaky clean feeling comes a shiny clean face afterward. The Nanoblur automatically removes shine, reduces the look of pores and just smoothes your face overall, looking almost like you have on a tinted moisturizer. I'll definitely be purchasing this!

I received this Vox Box complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

  1. Neutrogena Hand Cream is one of my favorite hand creams. It really works on dry hands especially in the winter.

  2. I've always been intrigued by Bethenny's Skinnygirl line since I watch RHONY....I might have to look for those!!!

  3. What a fun box! I want to try that Skinnygirl bar. And every girl needs a good red lipstick stashed somewhere.
