On Pinterest and Some of My Favorite Pin-spired Outfits

I've had Pinterest since it was introduced five years ago. We had just gotten married, and I thought, "Man! I wish we had Pinterest when I was planning my wedding!"

But alas, I've been sucked into the abyss, the black hole, that is Pinterest for five years -- everything from recipes to home décor to clothes to gift ideas...it's an awesome site.

Recently, I went through and cleaned out my Pinterest boards. {Have any of you done this?} I looked back to see that there were recipes we tried, but didn't like; that my home décor style had changed a bit; and so had my clothing style. So, off to cleaning I went. {And by the way, Pinterest does not make this easy! It was so time consuming!}

I would add items to my Amazon Wish List; delete pins; and even organized my boards, making two separate boards for clothes -- one for fall/winter and the other for spring/summer. OCD much? Ha!

Through all of that, I did order a few staple clothing items I couldn't believe I didn't have in my closet or things I knew just were older and needed replacing. {I couldn't pass up these precious leopard pumps, however!}

All of this was inspired by Shay's post the other day, where she talked about fall clothing. I mean, yes, it's still upwards of 100* in Texas right now, but that doesn't mean I can't start dreaming about fall, right? {Which of course, in Texas, starts in mid- to late-October. Sigh.} I just started to get excited about fall, this summer season we're in, and of course just clothes in general.

Do any of y'all just get on a kick and can't focus on anything else for a few days? {Please tell me I'm not the only one!} Anyway, that's how I've felt about clothing -- and lightening up my house, but that's another post for another day! -- the past couple of weeks. I just can't get enough!!

So, all of that to say, here are some of my recent favorite "Pin-spired" outfits after doing some reorganizing over there:

I'm now officially on the hunt for the perfect trench, a new faux-fur vest and that amazing camel cowl-neck sweater!

Follow me on Pinterest here!

  1. I love ALL of those! COME ON FALL! And I REALLY need to clean up my pinterest!

  2. I am definitely one to clean up my Pinterest boards - imagine if we could just shop on Pinterest.... We are in Winter now and I am loving my faux fur vest and cowl neck sweaters x

  3. I wish we were neighbors so that we could share closets because I love all of these! I'm also in need of new leopard pumps!!
