Happy Monday! We had a great weekend full of family. Let's recap, shall we?

Linking up with Biana and Meghan

I'm taking it back to Thursday, since I'm off on Fridays for the summer!

I found this bubble machine on Amazon and it came in on Thursday. Walker saw it and ran quickly outside {sans pants} to play. {It's amazing, y'all!} While he was playing, I had a glass of wine on the patio, and then cleaned the entire house after Walker went to bed.

Walker enjoyed Cheerios while watching "Jungle Junction," and I folded a load of laundry.

Then, we were off to the grocery store at 7:30 a.m. Let me tell you, there is no one there at that time and we had the store to ourselves! Ha!

We came home, Walker napped and I got ready for the day. Then, we drove to have lunch with my grandparents {who were in town from Mexico City} at Babe's. My grandfather has to have some good ol' Southern cooking when he's in the U.S.A.!

My brother drove up from Baylor to eat, too, and then came home with us. He played a ton with Walker and then we just hung out and caught up once Walker went down for a nap.

Brandon didn't go to lunch with us because he was at a car dealership looking for a new car for me. He had been researching for months and worked tirelessly via email and over the phone with one guy at a dealership near his office. We had narrowed cars down to a Ford Explorer, but I was pretty lax on what year, type, color, interior color, etc. Heck, I had been driving a 2003 Honda CR-V that had a tape player in it, so anything was an upgrade! Ha!

Anyway, I called him on our way home from lunch and asked how the process was going, and he said we didn't get the car and he'd have to go back Monday to look at others. I was kind of bummed, but totally understood. He came home and acted totally normal: visited with my brother and me in the living room, changed out of his work clothes, got a snack, etc. About 20 minutes later, I asked if anyone wanted a drink from the outside fridge {in our garage}, and when I opened the door, there parked was my new car! I stood there startled for a few seconds and then started crying. I was SO beyond excited and definitely love my new car!

That night, Brandon took my grandfather and brother to the Rangers game, since it was Baylor Night there. They all had a blast! Walker and I stayed home and visited with my grandmother and aunt, who came over.

We had to drive back to the dealership to get a few things Brandon left in the old car, and then had lunch at a cute little place in town. My brother left, and then we just hung out.

Brandon grilled steaks for supper and we watched the first two episodes of "Orange is the New Black."

We went to church, then came home and had leftovers for lunch. Once Walker was down for his nap, I spent two -- yes, two -- hours ironing all of these clothes. It was not my most favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon, but it had to be done. Ugh!

When I went to hang up said clothes later, I told Brandon to keep an eye on Walker. I came out five minutes later to this:

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, too!
