Weekending

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Linking up with Biana and Meghan today

-THURSDAY-
Since I was off Thursday, we're starting here for the weekend!

I had two cavities filled in the morning {ugh!}, and my mother-in-law watched Walker for me while I got that done. Since he was still napping when I was finished, I made a L-O-N-G trip to the grocery store to do some shopping for Easter.

When Brandon got home, we went to visit our friends Brandon {yes, it gets confusing!} and Kimmie in the hospital; they just had a sweet baby girl and we were excited to meet her! And yes, seeing my husband hold a newborn made me want another one sooner than I thought! Ha!

-FRIDAY-
My district was closed and Brandon got off at noon, so we had lunch at Taco Diner! The weather was absolutely gorgeous, so we enjoyed drinks and tacos on the patio.

This little goober was so excited to be out and about with mama and daddy! {Follow me on Snapchat: brittwhit87}

Walker took a 2-hour nap in the morning and then a 2.5-hour nap in the afternoon, so we had to get some of his energy out! We took a walk to our local high school and just let him run wild on the practice football field. He loved it!

We just couldn't get over the gorgeous, cool, spring-like weather. It was amazing!

-SATURDAY-
We had Walker's very first Easter Egg Hunt at our church, and it was precious. He had absolutely no idea what to do, which made us laugh so hard.

Once he finally got the hang of it {meaning picking up eggs}, he'd walk around with the eggs in his hands and didn't want to put them in the basket.

Once we convinced him to put the eggs in the basket, he realized they had Goldfish and Cheerios inside and it was game over. Ha!

I spent the entire afternoon in the kitchen getting lunch prepped for Easter Sunday. Once I finally finished, I went outside with Brandon and Walker and just soaked up the sunshine.

That evening, Brandon took me out to dinner for my birthday! Since he has a work conference this week {thankfully in DFW this year}, we decided to celebrate a few days early. My aunt watched Walker and we went to our favorite local Italian restaurant and then had a glass of wine at a local wine bar afterward. We couldn't even remember the last time we had been on a date, so it was so nice!

-SUNDAY-
Walker was so excited about his Easter basket, which made me so happy! He took every single item out individually and said, "OOOHHHH!" and took them to Brandon. It was precious.

And yes, we are high class with no pants on.

We went to early church, and it was absolutely amazing! Brandon's brother and his girlfriend joined us for church and we were so glad they were there with us.

When we got home, we took some family pictures, and Walker was hamming it up waving for the camera.

Giving mama kisses. :)

We devoured lunch so quickly I didn't even have time to take a picture! I made glazed ham, potato casserole, seven-layer salad, rolls and buttermilk pie. We have leftovers for days, and I'm thrilled about that!

We all loaded up and drove over to my in-law's to hunt eggs, and both Walker and my nephew Brayden were out light a light! Easter wore these sweet boys out!

Once they woke up, we ate some dessert my mother-in-law prepared, and then did an Easter egg hunt inside {since the weather did, in true Texas fashion, turned chilly and rainy in less than 24 hours!}.

Walker was an old pro, and even had my father-in-law hold his basket while he put the eggs in it. Ha!

And again, he was more interested in the Goldfish and Teddy Grahams in the eggs than anything else!

Once we got home, we finally cleaned up, picked up and got ready for the week. We were pooped, and were all in bed super early.

I hope y'all had a wonderful Easter and have a great week!
