Friday!

It's Friday!

-ONE-
Well, it wouldn't be Texas unless we had a snow day the week before Spring Break, right? Walker and I were home from school/work yesterday; my school district canceled Wednesday night after we got a ton of sleet that turned into ice that turned into snow. In all, we got 6.5 inches of snow at my house, which to us Texans is a big deal! Although I was {and am} super excited to see snow; I don't think we had seen the sun for more than a week! Plus, it helped to quickly melt this mess so we can get our Spring Break on.

-TWO-
I ordered this dress after seeing it on Shop Dandy's Instagram. It was only $26 and I thought it was the perfect dress for spring that could be dressed up or down.

-THREE-
Any of you toddler mamas having trouble getting your little ones to go to sleep? Walker has always been a great sleeper, and we've done BabyWise with him since he was about a month old. He typically sleeps from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., but lately he's been waking up at 1:30 a.m. standing up in his crib crying, and nap time has been a chore getting him to lay down and sleep...when I know he's tired {i.e. rubbing his eyes, getting fussy}. He just has been fighting us lately!

-FOUR-
I've never purchased a maxi dress before {I know, the shock!} but I'm really loving this one from Old Navy. Thinking it might have to sneak in my cart for spring and summer...

-FIVE-
I'm still kind of thrown off that it's already March. Wasn't it just Christmas?! Daylight Saving Time is Sunday, Easter and my birthday are next month. Pretty soon we'll be swimming and complaining about the 100+ degree weather, so I'm enjoying spring as much as I can. We have lots of good things coming this summer that I can't wait to share with y'all, so stay tuned. :)

And speaking of spring, I need to have Brandon get up in the attic and get my spring décor down. I have an Easter wreath, but I thought this was such a cute one {from Target}, and it's perfect to keep up in the summer, too!

I need to hit up Dollar Tree, because they always have cute little banners and things - at least mine does - for super cheap!

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and stay warm, wherever you are! Happy Spring Break!

  4. My little boy Evan went through the same thing around a year old. He was such a good sleeper and then BAM! He seemed to not want to sleep ever. I'm already forgetting how long it lasted--I think a few weeks?--and then he went back to his normal sleeping like nothing had ever happened. Could be teething, could be going through some big milestones, or there could be no reasonable explanation at all! Haha sometimes I never figure it out with my little. I just try to continue the routine and habits we have established with him and he eventually settles back into our routine or our routine adapts to his new stage of life. He has been giving me trouble going to sleep for the last week or so (he just turned 18 months) and I thought it might be a sleep regression, but today I looked in his mouth and saw one of his canines had popped through...so there was my explanation! Keep your chin up, you'll get through it!

PS found you through the link up! And sorry for rambling so long!

  6. I live in maxi dresses in the summer, love that one you posted! Also, we did Babywise too and Seth would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night when he was either going through a Wonder Weeks Leap or a growth spurt. Babywise is an amazing thing for sleep!!

  7. My daughter is 16 months and fights going to sleep all. the. time. She's tired and she will even lay down on a pillow in the living room, but when we get to her room, forget it. I think it's partly just because she now knows that if she stays up she gets to see us more. Were just trying to power through it right now.

Thanks for linking up for H54F!
