Friday!

Hey Friday! You're the best. I'm glad you're here...this was a long week!

-ONE-
I'm off work today! {I just love using vacation days!} Walker and I are going to clean up around this house, play and then he has his one-year appointment and vaccinations. {Yuck!}

-TWO-
Before I went to bed at 8 p.m. Wednesday night - yes, you read that correctly - I made Walker's Valentine's for his teachers and fellow classmates. I think they turned out fun!

I found this idea for his teachers on Pinterest, and it was super easy!

Using extra animal crackers from his party, I made little Valentine's for his classmates that say, "I'm Bear-y glad you're my Valentine!" because the boxes are a special edition and have two polar bears on them. I just created these hearts in Photoshop with the text, cut them out and used rubber cement to glue them to the boxes.

-THREE-
Do y'all follow Danielle on Instagram? If not, you should. I love her and all of her looks! I try to recreate them every morning when I'm getting ready for work.

-FOUR-
Brandon and I are going to Jamaica in July and I'm so excited! My parents are keeping Walker, and I'm thrilled about spending some one-on-one time with Brandon in gorgeous Jamaica!

What I'm not thrilled about? Bathing suits. After having Walker, I have a little pooch on my lower belly that drives me mad, and my body just isn't the same as when I was 23 and on my honeymoon. So, I'm really leaning toward one-pieces, but some trendy, cute ones. {Why is it, though, that every time I say "one pieces," I'm immediately taken back to church camp and the Speedo brand, racer back, bright green and pink one-pieces of yore?! Ha!}

Here are some I'm loving, all from Nordstrom:

Totally reminds me of "The Devil Wears Prada" scene where they're debating over the turquoise belts: "It's a tough call. They're so different!"

-FIVE-
I'm not huge on TV watching for Walker. I'm not one of those psycho moms who refuses to have the TV on when he's in the room or anything, but I'd rather not plop him down in front of the TV so I can get things done or just veg out myself. However, I broke my rule on Tuesday morning. He was in such a morning mood and wouldn't let me put him down to get dressed for work, so I found the Disney Channel on TV and sat him on our bed to watch some pirate show while he drank his milk. It kept him occupied {and me annoyed...seriously, what happened to Mr. Rogers or something?} for about five minutes, but I will take what I can get!

Plus, he just looked too cute sitting on our bed like a big boy. Love this precious little guy!

  1. Yay for Jamaica!! That is so fun and I'm super jealous. Love all the suits you picked out too! I've always been a one piece kind of girl. Sometimes Target will have some good ones, but get them now before they run out of them! Hope you have a good weekend too!

  2. You're "I'm too fat to come into work today" made me laugh! There are definitely some days I wish I could just say that and spend the rest of the day getting things done around the house! :) And your little boy is absolutely precious.

  4. Okay 1 - That "I'm too fat to come into work today" card is HILARIOUS. I wish that was an excuse. and 2 - If someone got me that "perk" card for being their teacher, I'd cry. That's fantastic!
