Thoughts for Thursday

Thoughts for Thursday.

It's random today, y'all.

+ Pinterest told me to wear this outfit on Tuesday. So I did. {And yep, when you have a 10-month-old, have to be out the door by 7:15 a.m., and it's the last week before Christmas Break, your denim shirt doesn't get ironed. Sea lo que sea.}

+ Thanks for y'all's comments on Monday's post about Walker! The antibiotics kicked in on Tuesday {exactly 72 hours, as the doctor predicted...thanks, doc!} and he finally started eating that morning. I caught him mid-bite, hence the hilarious face, but I had to document the fact that my little man was finally acting like himself again!

+ Liz bought this cardigan at The Rage {where else?!} and now I'm super mad I didn't buy it because it isn't in my size anymore. Boo hiss.

+ World Market has an entire "Downton Abbey" section! It's so cute and filled with items inspired by the hit TV show, including wine, tea, plates, shortbread, and even wrapping paper! I had to snap a quick pic when I was in there the other day. I almost died!

+ I'm kind of in denial that it is supposed to be 63* on Christmas Day here. Seriously? Nothing says "Christmas" like 60 degree weather. Get it together, Texas.

+ Michael Bublé's Christmas in New York special was so fun last night! I am an eternal sucker for anything Christmas...even when Barbara Streisand has crimped hair. For real.

+ And finally, to warm your heart today: I got the following piece on the news on Tuesday night! A student in our district was surprised by her father, who came home from deployment in Afghanistan 3.5 months early. He popped out of a box onstage at school and I'm pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house...including mine! Watch the two-minute segment here

Linking up with Annie and Natalie today!

Have a wonderful Thursday!

  1. Love that outfit even if it isn't ironed. :) Are you a Downton watcher? I'm just starting season 4, but I don't know if I can handle it. lol I'm so sad I missed the Michael Buble Christmas special! Love him. Indiana is finally cold, but there's no snow so it's just grey and gross. Boo. Fingers crossed for a little bit of white this Christmas. Have a great day lady!

  3. So many things to say--I'm ok with the Texas weather because its in the 40s here in DC and I could use a break (ha!). The Downton Abbey stuff makes me think I should host watching parties? And, I cried at that news clip. The end. Merry Christmas!
