Easy Pecan Pie Recipe

You asked, I'm delivering!

Before this Thanksgiving, I had never made a pecan pie before. I think I always thought it would be really difficult, and I will admit that I'm not a baker. I can cook, yes, but baking is tough for me for some reason. Anyway, I tried this recipe from my Nana's cookbook this year, and it turned out wonderfully!

If you'd like to make an easy pecan pie for Christmas dinner {or just to have whenever}, I'm sharing our family's recipe below!

Mozell's Pecan Pie

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup light or dark Karo syrup {I use light}
3 eggs
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup pecan halves
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pie shell {homemade or store bought...I just bought a frozen one at Kroger}

Directions
1. Mix all ingredients together in a deep bowl.
2. Bake in an unbaked pie shell at 300* until firm in the center {about 45 minutes}.

I hope you enjoy!
