Happy Monday, friends! Linking up today, per usual, with Biana and Meghan for Weekending.

As I mentioned on Friday, I took the day off to catch up on, well, everything! I was able to drop Walker off at school, get a haircut, clean the entire house and wash absolutely everything in our house. {If it was fabric, it got washed.}

Then, I picked Walker up early from school, he took a great nap and once Brandon got home, we got ready for Halloween!

Our little lion was super excited for his first Halloween!

...well, after he got used to the costume. He was not a fan at first and wouldn't let us secure the "mane" around his head. Ha!

We bundled up and headed to our church's annual Fall Festival! Toward the end, though, Walker was so tired and was practically passing out in his umbrella stroller.

But of course, once we got home, he was rarin' to go...even practicing his gymnastics {?} moves on the barstools.

We spent the morning eating the Breakfast of Champions: leftover Halloween candy and coffee! Walker decided to finally show off his latest skill for the camera: waving!

We got all ready to watch the Baylor Homecoming football game on TV when I started feeling really icky. I ended up getting really sick and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening in bed. Early Sunday morning, Brandon got it, too. Stomach bugs aren't for the faint of heart...especially when you have a baby!

No one seemed to tell Walker about the "fall back," {HA!} so we were up with the birds at 5:30 a.m. Brandon and I spent Sunday recovering and finally managed to make it out to grab some chicken noodle soup, Emetrol and Pepto. Then, Walker took a 3.5 hour nap and I laid down in my bed and took a good 2.5 hour nap. I think we were all just zonked.

After a{nother} dinner of chicken soup, we got Walker down and were all asleep by 7:45 p.m.

Needless to say, it wasn't the most riveting weekend - and I'm definitely still weak and tired - but here we are! Prayers for a much better week!

  1. Your little lion was straight up adorable for Halloween - so happy to hear you were so productive on Friday!!

  2. Well good thing you had a productive Friday before you all got so sick! That stinks. I hope you're feeling better. That little lion is adorable!! So is the waive. too cute!

  3. Walker makes an adorable little lion! Our monkey was not a fan of his ears! Hopefully you're all feeling better!

  4. Cutest little Lion I've ever seen!! Glad he let you put his little mane on. Daylight savings time is killer with young kids. Those early mornings are brutal.

  5. Oh my goodness - what a precious little lion! My baby is due in January, and I am already thinking about what to dress him up as Halloween for next year! Haha!

  6. What a precious lion! SO sorry you didn't feel well though! Hope you're on the mend! xo
