Five on Friday

Y'all, I don't know what has been in the water at work these past two weeks, but things have just been crazy! I feel like I come home completely exhausted and basically pass out soon after we lay Walker down for bed. My prayer is that things S-L-O-W it down just a bit in the coming weeks because I don't know if I'll make it if not!

Anyway, Happy Friday!!! I'm excited to be linking up today with April, Darci, Natasha and Christina for "Five on Friday"; Lauren for "High Five for Friday," and Amy and Karli for "Oh Hey, Friday!"

Let's get to this, shall we?

-ONE-
I'm having quite the love affair with Market Street. One recently opened near my office, and while I haven't shopped there for groceries, I have eaten lunch there quite often. Personally, I love their salad bar, sushi selection and jalapeño cornbread. {Random, yes?}

Anyway, I was there Wednesday for lunch {of course} with two of my friends, and we ran across their pumpkin display. And by "ran across," I mean how-could-you-miss-it-because-it-was-right-in-front-of-the-store. I was dying over their selection of Cinderella Pumpkins, but of course this giant {$80} pumpkin stood out the most. Holy pumpkin, Batman!

And yes, "#basic." But if #basic is wrong, I don't want to be right.

-TWO-
Keeping on the "I'm obsessed with..." train, I have to tell y'all about the new vacuum cleaner Brandon brought home Monday evening. My trusty ol' Oreck bit the dust Sunday when my husband sucked up one of Oliver's cat toys...and my vacuum quit sucking and started smelling like smoke. Brandon took it apart and, well, RIP Oreck.

Anyway, Brandon read 5,001 reviews {of course} and made a pit stop at Sam's during lunch to pick up my new baby: the Hoover Air Cordless Series 3.0 Upright Vacuum. Clearly "cordless" means it doesn't have a cord, but let me reiterate that to you: IT DOES NOT HAVE A CORD THAT PLUGS INTO THE WALL! I can't tell you how many times I was vacuuming before with Walker on my hip and trying to navigate around a pesky cord. This thing is light, bagless and, honestly, I vacuumed two days after my Oreck bit the dust and from the contents in the canister, it looked like I hadn't vacuumed in two weeks. {And I promise, we are über clean freaks.} I want to vacuum all the time now.

Excuse the iPhone-quality photo and the fingerprints on my dishwasher.

-THREE-
We finally got around to watching our TV shows from last week this week {welcome to being a working mom!} and I have to say, I'm loving "How to Get Away with Murder!" It did remind me of "Legally Blonde" in the beginning with the whole seating chart and mens rea conversation, but otherwise, it definitely left me wanting more.

-FOUR-
Our fourth wedding anniversary is Thursday, and I can't quite believe it has already been four years. We have something fun planned, and I can't wait to share it with y'all next week!

-FIVE-
And what's a Friday post without a picture of my precious Walker?! The little man will be transitioning to a convertible car seat in the next week or so and I'm excited to share our experience with y'all.

Seriously, this goofy face? I melt.

I hope you have an excellent weekend, wherever you are! I have a work event tonight {ugh} and we're heading to the pumpkin patch with Walker tomorrow.

Happy Friday!

  4. Happy Anniversary! You know you're getting old when you get excited over a vacuum cleaner! We missed the first episode of HTGAM but everyone was talking about it, that we decided to start taping the rest and hopefully find the first episode online. I love Shonda, she comes up with the best shows!
