Walker is EIGHT Months Old!

Walker, you are eight months old!

You are still taking four 6 oz. bottles of Similac Sensitive a day at the same times as last month, but we will be moving you to three bottles with 8 oz. in them pretty soon. You are still a great eater when it comes to food, and I'm really enjoying experimenting with what you will try. So far, you eat: quinoa, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, avocado, peaches, pears, apples, bananas, mangoes and yogurt. I'm still going strong making your food, and I'm actually really enjoying it!

Your reflux magically stopped this month, so no more baby Zantac! We are so happy for you because we know that hurt your poor little esophagus.

You are still an excellent sleeper! You sleep from 7-7:30 p.m. until 6-6:30 a.m. without waking up. You have given us a few stretches to 7:30 a.m., which was heavenly.

You still aren't that into napping, unless it's with me in my bed {which I secretly love}. You will give us about 30-45 minutes in your crib, but that seems to be all you need to keep on keeping on! You have moved yourself to two naps per day and one little 20-minute snooze on the way home from school {sometimes}.

You don't have a well check until 9 months, but I weighed you myself and you're just over 22 pounds! You're a chunk!

You started crawling just over a week shy of your 8-month birthday! I couldn't believe it when I saw it, but you're officially mobile. You can do a full 360* on your belly to get where you want to go, too. It's crazy! You say "mama," "dada," "baba" and "buh-bye," but also make a ton more little noises. You can also give high-fives!

You are finally {finally} cutting your first tooth, and you also had your first round of nightmares {poor thing}. You are really interacting with our cat, Oliver, a ton more and you two are the best of buddies. You try to crawl out of the bathtub when we're bathing you, but when we sit you back down, insist on "chewing" on the side of the tub. Whatever floats your boat! :)

Your separation anxiety is pretty rough, but I've read on a lot of forums that it's very common at this age. You are a big mimicker and if we cough, you will fake cough back. It's really cute!

Your firsts for this month included: crawling, retiring the swing, saying your first words, cutting your first tooth, meeting some of your aunts/uncles/cousins, sitting in a high chair at a restaurant and visiting the George W. Bush Museum.

You are in straight nine-month clothes across the board and size 3 shoes.

You are definitely a mama's boy and I love it! You are so, so sweet and love to laugh and give kisses. When you give kisses, you say "Awwww." It's so precious!

You love: bath time {or any water}, being tossed up in the air by your Dad, talking to yourself in the mirror, drinking from my water cup, looking out the window, playing outside in the grass, pulling Oliver's tail, any electronic with a bright screen {our iPhones, iPad and remote control are your favorites}, your V-Tech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker, your bouncer and sleeping on your tummy.

You aren't a fan of: having your face or nose wiped, when we take anything away from you, getting out of the tub, and being in the car seat when you're tired.

Walky, Walk, Buddy, Boo Boo, Walker Boo, Little Man

Walker, how is it that you're already 8 months old?! Time has truly flown by and your Dad and I can't believe it. You are looking and acting like more of a little boy than a baby.

You are entering such a fun stage and I love seeing what you will discover and experience next. Crawling has been an adventure for us, and it's one that I'm truly enjoying right along with you.

You are a sweet, sweet boy. I love that you give us kisses and hugs and love to show affection. Everyone comments what a good baby you are, and I have to agree.

We pray for you daily and want you to know how loved you are and how thankful we are for you. As I always say, you are a joy and a delight. We love you so much.
