Weekending

Good morning! Today I'm linking up with Meghan and Biana

-FRIDAY-
It was my first Friday back at work, and I'll admit that I was getting a little antsy...especially because Brandon had his half day and I knew he got to be at home and Walker and I didn't! {Selfish, much?!} However, Brandon did well helping me out when he was home: he did laundry, cleaned the floors and rented a Rug Doctor and cleaned the carpets in our house! You don't realize how disgusting your carpet is until it has been cleaned {yuck}! It made me thankful we only have it in our three bedrooms.

I picked Walker up and we came home and had lots of cuddle time! He wasn't exactly interested in cuddling with me, however! Ha!

We kept up with our weekly Friday Night Pizza Night tradition, but this time we ordered in. We didn't have the energy to make it, per usual!

Walker had his first sippy cup experience for cocktail hour with Mommy! ;) He always reaches out for our water cups - and we give him sips from the "big cups," - so we knew it was time to try one out on him. He loved it!

-SATURDAY-
Walker was up bright and early at 6 a.m., so we all had breakfast in bed and played in our bed until nap time. I was so tired from the week, so I pulled Walker into bed with me and we both napped for nearly two hours! It was wonderful

My friend Liz was in the area with her girls, so they stopped by for a little bit. Walker and Peyton played, Parker watched a movie on TV, and Liz and I visited over mimosas. It was a fun break in our Saturday!

That evening, Brandon and I went to the Dallas Cowboys game, and Walker had his first non-family babysitter. Brandon's company has club-level tickets at AT&T Stadium, so we had a ridiculously insane, fun time at the game! I told Brandon that I'm not sure I will ever be able to go to the game "normally" again. Ha!

Walker did great with his babysitter; we're definitely having her back again. I was a nervous mama and kept texting her to see how he was doing, and I loved that she would text me back with pictures of him - even one of him asleep in bed! {I know, I know...}

The Cowboys lost their first home opener, but it was still fun to go out and have a date night! It had been too long.

{And yes, I realize we're dorks!}

-SUNDAY-
It was flash flooding like crazy in Dallas, so we stayed home from church. It was nice to just hang out and be forced to just be home and get things done. Walker and I took another almost-two-hour nap with the rain pouring outside, and later he figured out how to take his first selfie on my phone. {Oh, dear.}

We just hung out all day, getting things done: laundry, picking up around the house, cleaning out the fridge, etc. We were so lazy and I love it! {Walker even stayed in his jammies all day!}

Last week was such a beat down, so I'm willing this week to be much better. I keep repeating to myself, "Today is a great day to have a great day." Cheers to that!

Happy Monday, y'all!
