Happy Monday! I'm linking up with Biana and Meghan today.

Brandon went fishing this weekend with all the men in my family, so Walker and I were buddies this weekend. :) Here's Brandon in beautiful north Arkansas:

I had an absolutely awful day at work, so I picked up Walker from "school" a little early and we had a ton of cuddle time that evening. It was my last Friday off from work, so it wasn't exactly the best way to end those beautiful three-day weekend!

This was basically my mantra for the weekend:

Walker and I were kicking butt and taking names with errands! We {and when I say "we," I really mean "me"} cleaned the entire house, did a ton of laundry and ran to the pharmacy, car wash, grocery store, Starbucks and dry cleaners. Whew! He was looking a little like "Where's Waldo?" in the buggy at Kroger. :)

Liz came over bright and early to take Walker's six-month portraits! She rang our doorbell at 6:50 a.m. and after a big cup of coffee, we were off! Walker did so well and the pictures are so precious; I can't wait to show them to you.

After a nap, we went over to my in-law's to let Walker play with his cousin, Brayden, and go swimming. The boys had so much fun together at Mimi and Pop's!

And, I enjoyed getting to swim with Walker for the very first time! {He did have fun, despite the goofy look on his face! Ha!}

I was going to attempt to take Walker to church by myself, but the little man decided he wanted to party at 3 a.m. and be up for the day at 5:45 a.m., so this mama was a little too tired for that! After breakfast for both of us, I pulled him into bed with me and we both napped for an hour and 45 minutes! That's a huge deal for Walker, who usually only naps for 30-45 minutes max. I woke up and felt like a new person!

He took another hour and a half nap in the afternoon and an hour nap in the evening; something tells me he's having his six-month growth spurt, because he slept from 7:15 p.m.-6:15 a.m.!

He and I ran a few errands in the afternoon, then got supper ready for Brandon to have when he got home: pork tenderloin, corn casserole, sautéed spinach and crescent rolls. So yummy, if I do say so myself!

Once Walker was down, I rewarded myself with a giant - and I do mean giant - glass of wine. Hey, I'm just saving myself a trip to the fridge, right?

I hope y'all all have a great week! I'm hoping and praying this week will be much better than Thursday. I'm taking Friday off since we're having our shower removed and marble countertops installed, so here's to a short{er} week for me!

  1. So sorry you had a crappy work day on Thursday. At least it was followed by three days off. Sounds like a fun weekend! Can't wait to see the 6 mo pics! I'm sure they're adorable per usual. :)

  2. Do you know what I just realized? I was also watching "The Devil Wears Prada" and drinking wine when you texted me....twins! haha

  3. So much fun to get some professional pictures done. Your son is so adorable!! Glad you had a great weekend with your little buddy!
