Oh Hey, Friday!

Happy Friday! I'm linking up with September Farm and The Farmer's Wife today.

Brandon has been traveling all week, so it has just been my little buddy and me since Sunday! We are excited to see Daddy today!

I didn't want to mention it on Sunday {because I hate announcing when Brandon - or our family - is and isn't home}, but he had a heck of a time trying to get out of DFW with our bad weather. His flight was originally scheduled for 1:50 p.m. and got canceled. He was able to get on the 7 p.m. flight, but that was delayed until after 10 p.m. He didn't get to his destination until 1:15 a.m.! While I felt so bad for him, selfishly it was nice to have him here all evening on Sunday. It definitely made it feel like his trip wasn't as long this time.

I am planning to "make" these little teacher gifts for Walker's three day care teachers this weekend. I know he's been in his class since April, but I am in the first-day-of-school mindset and thought these were too cute to pass up. Plus, they're ridiculously easy and we all know I'm all about an easy "craft."

Walker has been loving bath time even more lately. It's my favorite part of the day with him! He has started sitting up in the tub toward the end of his bath {as well as holding his own bottle at mealtimes} and I'm over here crying in a corner at how fast he's growing up. I just want him to stay little!

Our shower is being installed tomorrow! I'm so excited to start showering in my own bathroom again as opposed to walking down the hall to the guest bath shower/tub combo. #firstworldproblems, I know.

And last, but certainly not least, school starts on Monday. I'm so sad that this marks the proverbial "end of summer," but I am excited that it means that fall is coming so soon. I'm pretty sick of these 100* days, and of course, it's supposed to be 100* on Monday for our kiddos' first day of school! I get cracked up walking into stores and they have all their fall/winter clothes out, and we're over here donning shorts until about late September in Texas.

Anyway, if my blogging is a bit more sporadic for these first few weeks, you will know why. We are all okay, Walker is great...mama is just a bit crazy with a full-time job, full-time blog and full-time family! :)

On another note, have you seen this? It's from the same people who did "Christmas Jammies," but this time it's their back-to-school parody, "Baby Got Class." It's so funny!

I hope y'all have a fabulous weekend!
