Fourth of July + Weekending

Man, that four-day weekend went by super fast! I'm linking up with Biana and Meghan for their "Weekending" link-up!

Yes, I'm starting my weekend on Wednesday since that was my last day at the office! My friend Liz and I went to get pedicures during my lunch break, which was a nice treat. Since it was Walker's last day at school for the week, he and I dressed in matching red, white and blue for the day.

Brandon had to work and I didn't, so I stayed home with Walker for the day, which was so awesome. We had a plumber come to do some work in our bathroom, and he was here basically all. day. long. It was a beat down! I can't wait to share with y'all the finished product of our bathroom.

Once Brandon got home, I ran to the grocery store {along with the rest of the city} to get stuff for our July 4 celebration. I came home and made this yummy trifle, which, I'll admit, was super pretty! {And ridiculously easy to make!}

We went to my in-law's for the day, along with my brother-in-law, his wife and their daughter; and my other brother-in-law, his girlfriend and his son. We had such a fun time eating, visiting, swimming and being together! {Photo overload to follow…}

We did absolutely nothing, which was wonderful! I still had Walker carry on the {red}, white and blue theme with his cute little shorts and Polo. Of course we went nowhere except Home Depot, but he looked adorable anyway! Brandon and I made Poppyseed Chicken Casserole {along with broccoli and sliced strawberries} for supper, and we both went to bed so early. {You know you're old when…}

We did our typical Sunday routine of church, lunch and relaxing! Walker has been really into sleeping on his belly these days, and I love that he's still wanting to snuggle with me for naps. {He won't nap in his crib, so I'll take a little 30-minute cat nap on my chest if he'll sleep!} Brandon went to the gym and worked in the yard, while I got things done around the house and made a loaf of homemade banana bread with some overripe bananas we had in the kitchen. We made Chicken Caesar Burgers and sweet potato fries for supper; bathed Walker and got things ready for work tomorrow. {Which, BTW, booooo.}

I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend and have a great week!
