Five on Friday

Happy Friday to you! Thanks to the following ladies for hosting this weekly link-up:

-ONE-
Walker's sweet teacher at "school" gave me my very first Mother's Day present {ever} yesterday: a framed little poem with his tiny handprint at the top. I think it's so precious! I took it to my office and put it on my little bookshelf there to peek at every day. And yes, I teared up when she gave it to me!

Speaking of Mother's Day, I mentioned last week that Walker is being dedicated at our church on Sunday morning. My family is coming up {yay!} for the celebration, and we're hosting a small lunch at our house for my parents, aunt and Brandon's parents afterward.

We decided to do fajitas on the grill since it's so easy, and we can set everything up buffet style on our island. Plus, it's not too fancy; this busy mom doesn't have time to be making place cards and setting a fancy table! #aintnobodygottimeforthat

-THREE-
I am on a major spending freeze right now - hello, I bought too much crap while I was out on maternity leave! ;) Anyway, I am majorly lusting over this precious "coordinates" bangle right now, where you can order it with the coordinates of a special place to you on it! How cool is that?!

Brandon showed me this video last night: "Al Sharpton Teleprompter Fail" and I was crying I was laughing so hard. Especially at the "Chipotle" mishap. Too funny!!!

And what's one of my posts without a picture of my precious {drooly} little guy!? He's getting much better about tummy time, but especially when we put the iPhone camera screen in front of him so he can see himself. Love this sweet nugget!

Hope y'all have a fabulous weekend and a fantastic Mother's Day!

  1. That little art work is so sweet! I'm on a spending freeze as well, well at least I am supposed to be on one! Why is it when I say I'm going to be better at watching what I spend I start to find all the good things?! :-)
