Five on Friday

Happy Friday!

I don't know about you, but I am jumping for joy that today is {finally} Friday! It's been a long week and I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend because we have no plans! {Five years ago that would make me cry; now it makes me rejoice!} I'm definitely looking forward to tonight's Friday Night Pizza Night - and a glass of wine.

My mom brought me these gorgeous flowers for Mother's Day and I'm still enjoying them so much! I absolutely love having fresh flowers in my home, and every time I walk past these beauties in my dining room, I just smile.

-THREE-
This is a horrible photo, but I had to document that my husband "cooked" dinner Wednesday night! Yes, the man who {I swear} didn't know how to boil water when we married; the man who, after I taught him how to make spaghetti lamented how he wished he would've known how to make it in college; and the man who thinks a protein shake is an acceptable meal every night.

He called me at work and asked if we had eggs. {"This is so random," I thought.} Then he told me he was making egg salad for dinner and he was going to cook dinner to give me the night off. In the back of my mind, I was already planning a back-up meal. But y'all, it was so good! So much so that I brought a sandwich to work for leftovers yesterday.

I told him he's getting in the kitchen more often and we could share the "chef" title every now and again. Although I did have a huge mess to clean up in the kitchen afterward...

We are working to break the swaddle with Walker, so of course I had to document that Wednesday night was his first night semi-detached in which he slept all night. Ha! He loves that thing and has a major freak out if we even dare lay him down with both arms free. After some research, we started with one arm out, and he slept all night {8 p.m. - 6:15 a.m.}. We truly think he didn't know his one arm was out! We'll try the one-arm-out thing for a couple more weeks before moving to both arms out. {I can't believe my baby is old enough for this…!}

-FIVE-
Did y'all watch "Modern Family" the other night? OMG we were crying we were laughing so hard at the wedding part one episode! The part where Lily was riding around on the dry cleaners' clothes rack made me cry into fits of laughter. I am so going to miss this show this summer!

I hope y'all have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend!

  1. Um, probably one of the top 5 E-cards I've ever seen. Ever. Your hubby did a really good job on the egg salad sandwich! It looks awesome and is making me hungry. And I love Modern Family. Haven't watched the latest episode yet though.
    Have a great weekend!
