Walker's Newborn Portraits

One thing I love are photos. I have so many in my house and often find myself running out of frames - and space - in which to house them.

So, when it came time for Walker's newborn portraits, I really wanted good photos; timeless ones. I'm very classic and like simple, sweet family portraits…nothing too posed, no unnatural Anne Geddes-type poses in flower pots, no overexposed light, etc. I fully admit it: I'm picky!
{And no offense at all to any of you who like that stuff. It's just not my taste! I'm so insanely  picky it's ridiculous.}

When doing research, I found that Caroline Jurgensen's style was one I really liked and one that mimicked mine. In fact, I emailed her back in July once we announced we were pregnant just to get on her calendar! Six months later, she came to our house to take Walker's newborn portraits, and we absolutely adore them. Caroline was so laid back, flexible and easy to work with, and I'd highly recommend her to anyone wanting to take newborn - or other - portraits.

Here are some of our favorite photos; the full gallery can be found on her website here

We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
{Now I just need to get on sending his birth announcements out! :)}

My mom made the "W" sign with old lumber from my family's  sawmill that they operated for many, many years. It's so special to us.

I'm framing this one {above} for our bedroom.

Those lips! I die.

I love this one of him and me! I can't wait to frame this one.

This was the last photo of the day, and we got a little smile!

  1. Great photos! How precious. I love your W sign too and it's great that it has a special meaning behind it too!
