Golden Globes

What did y'all think of the Golden Globes? I always love Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and they didn't disappoint again this year!

But onto the most important part: the fashion!

Here are my personal opinions on last night's fashion hits and misses. What are your thoughts?

Amber Heard in Versace

That color! The fabric! The slit! The teased hair! Love it all.

Leslie Mann in Dolce & Gabbana

This was my favorite. Completely classic, and love the lace and peplum.

Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren

Absolutely. Stunning. Love the silhouette and perfect color for her skin tone. Beautiful!

Monica Potter in Ramona Keveza

I love her so much, and this dress is perfect old Hollywood glamour. And the hair! Perfect.

Naomi Watts in Tom Ford

This dress was perfect on her, and I love love love her hair! I am a huge fan of Naomi Watts' style, and this is just another reason as to why I love her.
{And the lady's face in the background of this picture cracks me up.}

Cate Blanchett in Armani Couture

Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. {And those earrings!} So classic Old Hollywood.

Sofía Vergara in Zac Posen

All I can say is, Sofía knows how to rock a black dress. It's simple, yet elegant, and I love her Lorraine Schwartz necklace. Hawt.

Juliana Margulies in Emilio Pucci

Clearly I'm in love with simple, black silhouettes. This dress was perfect for her, and I adore the back and cap sleeves.

Julia Roberts in Dolce & Gabbana

I'm actually surprised I liked this shirtdress, because it is a little confusing. But c'mon, it's Julia. She can pretty much rock anything and still be flawless to me. But my favorite part? That hair! Loving all this big volume on the red carpet!

Sarah Hyland in Georges Hobeika

I think she just looks too young in this dress, which is too close to her skin tone. And I am not a fan of the Heidi/Frieda Kahlo hair.

Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta

This looks like the 90s vomited a crop top. Not a fan.

Lena Dunham in Zac Posen

No. Yellow is a very hard color to pull off, and she just doesn't. Also, I'm not sure about her hair and tattoos, either. Nope. {And what is with the mouth-half-open pose?}

Elisabeth Moss in J. Mendel

Not that this was horrendous, but it was just "meh." She can definitely do better. And I feel like she got out of the shower, let her hair air dry and then did nothing. Thumbs down.

Amy Adams in Valentino

Amy, we're not in "American Hustle" anymore. You can get out of character with your dress.

Side note: "American Hustle" is not a comedy nor a musical. Drives me crazy it won in that category. Again, we were just not fans of this movie. Although Amy's awards speech was adorable.

Hayden Panettiere in Tom Ford

Her hair is confused in a Miley Cyrus kind of way. And this dress aged her immensely. Just no.

Sandra Bullock in Prabal Gurung

What even is this dress?! She looks like a confused person at a gender reveal baby shower. Ick, ick, ick!

  1. Great recap! I love Leslie Mann's dress too. I agree with the "misses" except I think Lena Dunham pulled it off. It is a big improvement from her multitude of previous fashion faux pas.
