Five on Friday

Happy Friday! This has been a longggggggg week and I'm very glad to be halfway through this day and well onto my weekend!

-ONE-
I've suddenly been hit with the urge to get rid of the dark red accents we have in our living room and open kitchen area. I'm just kind of over it! We have a beautiful red rug in our living room {see this post for a view of it} and it has a pretty robin's egg blue accent color in it. Lately, I've been eyeing that color and really wanting to bring it out a bit more, especially with our cream-colored chenile couch.

The rest of our house is decorated in cool-toned colors {think grays, whites, blues, champagnes} and I feel like you're hit with the red hard when you walk into the living room.

I have been really inspired by Amy at The Blissful Bee and her remodel of her parents' living room. And also by the fact that I'm over winter and warm and just want to have a cooler, lighter living room.

So! Here are the pillows I've been eyeing. What do y'all think? Help a sister out!

1. Pottery Barn 2. Target 3. West Elm 4. West Elm 5. Target 6. Pottery Barn 7. West Elm

-TWO-
We're going to see "Lone Survivor" this weekend and I'm actually way more excited to see it than I thought I would be. Brandon read the book on his iPad in about a month {and for someone who never reads, that's really saying something} and he loved it, so I'm interested to see if he thinks the movie mimics the book. I'm sure I'll bawl my eyes out, so I'm packing tissues!

-THREE-
I've been training an intern all this week, and I've fully decided that I was not cut out to be a teacher! I feel like I've been skipping all over the place and the poor thing looks so confused! She's going to be taking over for me while I'm out on maternity leave, so I hope I haven't scared her off just yet. Major props to my teacher friends out there!

-FOUR-
How adorable is the newest addition to my mom and her friend's store, HomeGrown!? It's a wooden board that you buy and then purchase the hangers for each season to go on the front. So, for Valentine's Day there's a heart; St. Patrick's Day a shamrock; Easter an egg; Independence Day a flag; Christmas a tree, etc.

I think it's such a cute idea and definitely will be purchasing one for our house!

-FIVE-
The Golden Globes are Sunday, and I'm really excited to see the fashion! I'm sure this old lady won't be able to stay up for the entire awards season, but the red carpet will be super fun. Plus, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey again? Fabulous!

Hope you have a great weekend!
