Y'all, it is cold in Dallas. Like, it sleeted earlier today and our fireplace has been on every waking moment this weekend. {I could never live in a state above the Mason-Dixon line. I'd freeze to death.}

So what else but decorate for Christmas when the weather outside is, as the famous song goes, "frightful?"

I picked Brandon up from the airport and we just relaxed. I celebrated nine whole days off from work by getting cozy on the couch with hot chocolate - complete with marshmallows - in my favorite mug.

After wrapping more presents and running a ton of errands in the blustery weather, Brandon got all the Christmas d├ęcor down from the attic and we decorated for Christmas!

There is seriously nothing better than sitting in your living room and the only light illuminating everything is the twinkle lights on the tree and the fireplace. I love this time of year.

We then made a huge pot of chili and watched our Baylor Bears lose terribly to the Oklahoma State Cowboys {what the heck is a "Poke" anyway?}. It was such a bad game that even Oliver couldn't watch.

We were up early, so we decided to go to the early service at church to beat the weather. After church, we had brunch at our favorite little place {great food, horrible service}, ran to Home Depot, Target and Babies "R" Us, then came home to hunker down and not do a thing for the rest of the day. I have a yummy supper in the oven and we plan to just relax.

I still can't get over that I'm not going to work tomorrow. Makes this Sunday night all the more happy!
