Five on Friday

Happy Friday! Whew, what a week this has been! Soooo much {good stuff!} has happened that I don't even know where to begin. So, let's just start at the beginning, shall we?

-ONE-
Brandon started his new job on Monday, and I couldn't be prouder of him. He's absolutely loving it and is totally thriving. To celebrate, I bought him this cookie cake, because he loooooooooves cookie cake. It was pretty good, if I do say so myself!

I had off on Monday, so I spent the day interviewing pediatricians. So much fun, right? (No.) Anyway, I did find one and I absolutely love her! While I hope the baby won't have to see her often, it is nice to know we have a great pediatrician close to our house who he'll see for well visits, incidents, etc.

-TWO-
After getting gross and humid, it fall finally returned to North Texas...and I think it just might be here to stay! Fall in Texas typically means chilly evenings and mornings, with warmer temperatures during the day. {Read: Dress in layers.} So, the other night when it was a "chilly" 59* outside, I turned on the fireplace. And it was amazing.

-THREE-
When I left work yesterday, I saw this lady get out of her car and dig through her packed trunk at a red light. Remember when I said "dress in layers?" Yeah, well, I don't think the lady understood it was about 72* yesterday. #bootswiththefurr

I was laughing so hard I couldn't even breathe.

-FOUR-
Our niece was born yesterday afternoon! Ellice {pronounced "Ellis"} Katherine, who they're going to call "Ellie Kate" made her grand entrance yesterday at 12:55 p.m. weighing 7 lbs., 9 oz. and was 19 3/4 in. long. We love her so much already!

Side note: Doesn't my sister-in-law look AMAZING?!?!?!

"Uncle B" was a true natural with her, although he kept calling her, "buddy," which is what he calls our nephew, Brayden. I kept reminding him that "buddy" isn't an acceptable term of endearment for a girl! Ha! Good thing we're having a boy! ;)

And please don't mind me looking like a hot mess; it was 9:15 p.m. before we got to see here and I was sooooooo tired and hungry!

-FIVE-
Today is my dad's birthday! Happy Birthday, Dad! I love you!

And because I can...

-SIX-
It's Baylor Homecoming weekend! We're not partaking in all of the festivities, but some, and I'm so excited about it! The weather is supposed to be absolutely perfect for Baylor to beat up on those Iowa State Cyclones.

I am also getting so excited about taking our sweet little boy to Homecoming next year! It's such a big deal for Baylor and it just makes me pumped to think about it.

Hope y'all have a great weekend!
